If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you’ll know that I lack respect for our media outlets. All of them. This is a good example.

It’s hard to believe that the focus and positioning of the fraudulent nature of the FTX scandal is being completely glossed over.

These aren’t mistakes. This language and focus on the loss of SBF’s philanthropic efforts, without any mention of his clearly fraudulent behavior, is a deliberate choice.

I fail to understand how this could be the case, especially across all the major outlets.

I’ve decided to just sit back and watch this play out, lest I become tempted by the absurdity of conspiracy theories. 😏

So, good job WSJ. Top notch mass news laundering operation you’ve got going on here.

My daughter took this stunning photograph earlier this year. My wife and I decided to print it on canvas and hang it in our home. She has a gift.

Funny thing is I took a photo with the same phone in the same spot 30 seconds earlier and it wasn’t anything like this. â˜ș

Helping young people discover their natural talents is a passion of mine.

Confidence and self assurance will be one of the most important factors in young people discovering and pursuing their natural talents.

Help them shine.

This illustrates why the first 20-30 team members in a startup are so important. Every new person adds a new layer of organizational relationship complexity.

This image just goes to 14 people, which indicates 91 unique relationships.

Sweater’s team of 29 indicates 406 unique relationships.

It adds up fast.

Once you break past 50 people, you are at a point where not everyone knows everyone else in a company.

At that point, the culture is either set in place, or it will spin out of control.

Relationships are the core of every business.

Pay attention to them and you’ll yield the benefits.

Stop calling me 'Buddy'.

I'm a grown man.

I have four children and am well into my 30's.

Unless you're 20 years my senior and knew me before I turned 20, you should probably learn my preferred name.

If you can't remember my name, then look me up on linkedIn, quietly ask someone who knows me, or just ask me.

I am terrible at remembering names. I get it.

Calling someone 'Buddy', or 'Dude', or 'Sweetie', or 'Hun' is a total crutch though. We're all better than that.

Plus, there are benefits. According to research done by Brain Res (link below) parts of a person's brain light up when they hear their name.

But ONLY their own name.

People love hearing their name. It builds trust and strengthens relationships.

Take your professionalism up a notch. Call people by their actual name, and stop using crutch nicknames.

It's an opportunity to level up.

“There are several regions in the left hemisphere that show greater activation to one’s own name, including middle frontal cortex, middle and superior temporal cortex, and cuneus. These findings provide evidence that hearing one’s own name has unique brain functioning activation specific to one’s own name in relation to the names of others.“
