Bali's beautiful beaches are drowning in trash. Sungai Design, led by Lars Behrendt, saw an opportunity to transform this mess into cash. Their beach clean-ups are impressive, but they can't keep up with the endless tide of garbage.

Six companies create 25% of global plastic pollution:
Coca-Cola: 11%
PepsiCo: 5%
Nestlé: 3%
Danone: 3%
Altria: 2%
Philip Morris: 2%
Even worse, 56 companies contribute to over 50% of the world’s plastic waste.

We need big brands to adopt these actions. Consumers can push for change, and governments must regulate plastic production and waste. Let’s turn trash into treasure and protect our planet.

𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬: 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲

As the world grapples with climate change and rising temperatures, cities are becoming increasingly vulnerable to heat waves.

Sydney Australia just suffered a severe early summer heatwave last weekend, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius(104F) in many areas. 😵

Urban trees are like living air conditioners, offering shade and cooling through a process called evapotranspiration. As they absorb sunlight, they release water vapor through their leaves, which cools the surrounding air.

Studies have shown that mature trees can lower ambient temperatures by up to 7°C(20°F), creating a more comfortable and livable environment.

Quantum computers, using Shor’s algorithm, could crack these codes, exposing sensitive data in just 8 hours.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞?
Attackers can hoard encrypted data now and decrypt it later as quantum technology advances.

To stay safe, researchers are developing quantum-resistant encryption methods to protect our data against future quantum attacks. NIST is leading the charge to standardize these new techniques.
