I will NEVER get tired of watching Black women reach their dreams and goals and be celebrated.

I will NEVER get tired of watching women who have been historically ignored due to race, gender, sexual orientation, color, ethnicity, disability, size, age, socioeconomic status, and more do what they set out to do.

I will ALWAYS cheer loudly and proudly. Seeing the first-ever Black and openly gay woman, sporting natural hair, born of French-Caribbean heritage, who is the daughter of Haitian immigrants, in this position brings me joy.

Dear Black Women,

The world expects us to sacrifice for its gain. The world has been taught that we are to labor without support. The world is uncomfortable with our taking care of our mental health and putting ourselves first.
