Exciting news! Kuehne+Nagel acquires a majority stake in IMC Logistics, one of the leading marine #drayage providers in the US.

This move strengthens and complements our intermodal sea logistics offering and is another important step forward in our #Roadmap2026 strategy. IMC specialises in comprehensive end-to-end transportation solutions to or from seaports or rail hubs, customer facilities, and inland in the United States. 

With this partnership, we significantly expand our service offering and allowing us to develop and offer even more attractive solutions for the value chains of our #sealogistics customers, ensuring flexible transportation solutions in times of increasing supply chain disruptions.

Starting this month, Kuehne+Nagel can serve its customers in #Thailand with #electricvehicles (EV).

The vehicles will be mostly used for pre-carriage to the Bangkok airport with pick-ups mainly in the provinces of Chonburi and Rayong, where Kuehne+Nagel has the highest customer density. These distances are suitable for the vehicles’ driving range of up to 200km with one charge.

The launch ceremony witnessed the presence of Siew Loong Wong, President of Kuehne+Nagel Asia Pacific and Anish Kumar Jha, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Thailand. Also in attendance was the Deputy Executive Director of the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Marius Mehner. During the event, Mr. Mehner underscored the importance of decarbonising the transport sectors and the industry as a whole.

Governments can support this endeavor. In February, that Thai government expanded its incentive program to promote the adoption of electric trucks and the local production of EV battery cells. Thailand has also been expanding the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, especially in the metropolitan area of Bangkok. These initiatives have strongly contributed to a higher interest among Kuehne+Nagel's customers to improve their carbon footprints.
