I've interviewed Prime Ministers, Premiers, & even pornstars. But no other guest has gotten me nervous like this one.

Fifty-five years of broadcasting, 45 Grand Finals & 99 State of Origins - Ray 'Rabs' Warren is 'The Voice of Rugby League'.

After retiring following the end of the 2021 NRL Season, Ray Warren joins me in a rare long-form interview to reflect on his career, discuss the state of Australian sport, and whether he might ever return to calling again...

This is my position for people in business - no matter what size.

I respect them for their big goals. Their courage. Their tenacity. Their no-whinge mentality.

Let’s have their back.

Just persevere. You don’t need the plaudits. You have your reasons why you started. Bank your small wins and keep hustling.

Congrats to the PM for thinking about employers who keep employees on during this period. It’s absolutely essential. Smart policy !

There's nothing wrong with taking the easy road, you're comfortable with it, you've got your structure to move along it. But remember that there's always new paths out there, new options to explore, and new lessons to be learned. You can't get there without taking a risk, without being a little bit uncomfortable.

Anyone can say they want to be an explorer, but it's only the ones who actually leave the path they know is easy that can be considered the real explorers, and they're the only ones who can do the discovering.

This lockdown is incredibly hard on small businesses. So throughout it, I want to shout out all the local cafes out there who make our coffees, make our takeaways, and make us smile.

On Friday, I popped by to see my friends Joe & Anna up at Crown Street Grocer in Surry Hills. Their work ethic is an absolute inspiration, and their bacon & egg roll is pretty grouse to boot.

I want to hear who your local superstar cafes are. Let me know below 👇
Businesses, small businesses in particular, are on their absolute fucking knees.

We're copping it in the neck for the so-called “good“ of our whole economic and social system. But our belief in our leadership, and our understanding that we must suffer more than other industries, is starting to wear thin.

I've never seen such a disconnect in our country, and we need to see some inclusive leadership; right now more than ever.

Have a read of the Sunday Telegraph article to see what I'm talking about:

I've always been one that worked better in my office. If you're struggling with working remotely, try these basic tips.

On another note: over ten years ago I said I have a personal philosophy: Try to smile every day. Hang out with loved ones, including friends. Don't get caught up in bullshit. Wake up tomorrow morning happy and healthy.

In these times, we may not be able to see our loved ones as much or at all, but I'm committed to the rest. Get your work done, cut out the bullshit, and keep smiling.

Hi guys, just wanted to let everyone know that my new show, The Mentor premiers tonight at 9pm on Seven, straight after MKR. Would love to know what you guys think!
Don't chase the plaudits. You know the reasons why you started.

Bank the small wins and keep at it.

I'm hearing a lot of fear at the moment. Not quite to the same level as during lockdowns last year, but with floods, talk of recession, and increasing partisanship, I get it.

There's a fair few unknowns hanging over all our heads. But dwelling on negative thoughts isn't helpful at all.

Now's the time to channel our energy to where it's useful. Towards practical measures and simple actions that benefit us. Rather than the self-destructive thoughts and worries that keep us in the valley of despair.

The most important thing you can do? Don't keep it all in your head.

Either write it down, share it with someone, or even share it with me.

Because being scared won't do you any good. Spend less time on that, and more time doing something practical about it.

You'll be alright.
