My custom AMG One is finally here โ€“ a Hypercar powered by my F1 hybrid engine! ๐Ÿš€

I feel like a kid at Christmas and am so excited to finally share more about my journey with the AMG One, a project that began in 2017. The vision? To create a car inspired by my Formula 1 car at the time. This plug-in hybrid engine boasts a 1.6L - V6 turbo engine, incorporating parts from the original engine I drove on the track.

Every detail, from aerodynamics to powertrain to the interior, was designed to mirror an F1 car.

I think the last hypercar that Mercedes produced was theย  the CLK GTR StraรŸenversion from the '90s, so this really is history in the making!

This car is as close as it gets to a racing car, with all software and hardware developed in-house. While a racing team needs seventeen people to start the car, here sensors and software replace those engineers on site that are so important in F1, which is quite something.

Click the link in the comments to watch part 1 of my YouTube video, where I take a handover.

What features of this hypercar are you most excited about? Let me know in the comments!

Did you know that 2.7 million fans have traveled to Germany for Euro 2024 so far?

As we reach the halfway point of Euro 2024, it's clear that while the tournament has been an awesome spectacle, it has also tested Germany's infrastructure, especially with some chaos surrounding fan travel.

Germany aims to make Euro 2024 the most sustainable tournament ever, with a big focus on train travel. Deutsche Bahn has maximized its resources, adding extra trains to accommodate fans (On match days, Deutsche Bahn will provide nearly 10,000 extra seats daily on ICE and Intercity trains, with fourteen special EURO trains running each day).

The fact that hundreds of thousands of people are using the trains during the Euros showcases a shift towards more sustainable travel, which is great. However, the infrastructure has been heavily tested, revealing underlying issues.

Specific problems include fans in Gelsenkirchen waiting for hours and trams getting stuck in Munich. These issues highlight the broader challenges, not just those faced by Deutsche Bahn.

This travel chaos highlights the need for a more efficient mobility and infrastructure transformation in Germany.

My thoughts:

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปPrioritizing upgrades to rail infrastructure to handle large crowds efficiently during big events is essential.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปAnother idea is to develop integrated transport solutions combining trains, trams, buses and bicyles for smoother transitions and less congestion.

Euro 2024 has shown that we can push the boundaries of sustainability and community spirit with collective effort.

How can we further innovate to make large events like Euro 2024 more sustainable and run more smoothly in the future? Let me know in the comments below ๐Ÿ‘‡ โ€ฆ

This week, I had the privilege of speaking at the Ocean Innovators Platform organised by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation as part of Monaco Ocean Week.

According to the United Nations, over three billion people depend on marine and coastal biodiversity for their livelihoods. In addition, the global ocean economy is estimated to be worth over $3 trillion annually. It's, therefore, our responsibilityย to ensure that we preserve its natural resources for future generations.

Apart from the warming of the oceans and the melting of the ice caps, which cause flooding and extreme weather phenomena, microplastic is the biggest issue. I recently announced the launch of my non-profit organisation Rosberg Philanthropies and my first project is a partnership with The Oxford SDG Impact Lab. This collaboration sees Oxford postgraduate students working with corporate partners to develop implementable solutions. The Ocean Cleanup is one of the companies involved, and it's very encouraging to see the growing interest in this field. I believe that the more we collaborate and share knowledge, the greater our chances of success will be.

I enjoyed discussing the above topic with esteemed individuals such as Olivier Wenden, the Vice-Chairman & CEO of the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, and moderator Lovelda Vincenzi, among others.

What can we do to make people more aware of the importance of protecting the ocean and its resources, especially microplastics, and encourage more collaboration to find sustainable solutions? I would love to hear your insights and ideas in the comments below.

Breaking news in the tech world! Germany is shaking things up with a bold reform to its financial rules, directly taking on Silicon Valley. The Future Financing Act, just passed by the Bundestag, is a game-changer, especially for employee stock ownership programs (ESOPs). This isn't just a policy updateโ€”it's a strategic shift set to revolutionize the German startup ecosystem!

As an investor and a champion of innovation, I'm thrilled. This reform isn't just good news; it's a pivotal moment. It boosts Germany's appeal as a startup hub, aligning it with the most startup-friendly nations. We're now seeing Germany emerge as a formidable player in the global startup landscape.

Key Takeaways:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Major overhaul of stock-based compensation rules for tech startups.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Deferred taxation on employee stock options until the point of sale, easing financial burdens.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Broadening the scope of the plan to benefit a wider range of growth companies.

These reforms, recently discussed by Germany's Finance Minister Christian Lindner, reflect the evolving landscape of the German economy and its tech sector.

Germany, already a powerhouse in engineering and innovation, now becomes even more attractive to global tech talent and investors. These changes level the playing field, potentially turning Germany into a magnet for entrepreneurial talent and cutting-edge startups.

How do you think these reforms will shape the global tech race?
Let's discuss in the comments below!
