There's nothing wrong with writing code on your own. Gaslighting is strong, but think for yourself and do what brings the most value to you and your product.

We're not wasting time on coding too slowly.

We're wasting time doing stuff that doesn't matter.

Code by itself doesn't matter if it doesn't do what the user needs. Also, oppositely, code is what matters, as that's what we put on production.

It's kinda sad that our industry is giving up on coding as a design exercise, as that's why we came up with programming languages: to precisely specify what the computer should do. Now we're dropping our engineering and turning into some shady shaman's area.

A pity.
