“So this happened in Montana. I'm on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled over by a police officer.

I am native American and my friend that was with me is black. Just saying.

Both brake lights decided to go out this time.

As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said,

“Don't worry about pulling anything out. I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.“

So I'm immediately upset, because I just got them replaced like last month.

So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car.

He looked at me like 😨 and told me to pop the trunk.

He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn't come on.

So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one.

Then worked on the wiring under the dash.

He could've easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role, and into mechanic role, and human role to make sure I was straight.

By the way HE FIXED THEM. Not everyone is racist, or a bad cop.”

1000 days since I prayed to God to please save me, while I lay in a hospital bed, my spirit completely broken, all of 98lbs.

1000 days since I put a needle in my arm wishing it would take my pain away.

1000 days since my absolute hardest rock bottom.

1000 days since I crawled out of that darkness and slowly found myself.

1000 one day at a times. Some of those days being the hardest and messiest days, ever. All of which taught me more about myself.

1000 days FREE.

Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a life worth living! I am forever grateful for another chance. 🤍

Powerful testimony, my friend!

“Today I saw a video that made me tear up. An elderly veteran on hospice wanted to get a meal with his wife at a local pizza restaurant. There he sat with his oxygen tubes and oxygen machine and his cap that identified his branch of service in a long past war. In the same restaurant, a middle school choir was also enjoying lunch. Several of them saw him and started to sing the national anthem. The entire choir stood up, faced him, and joined in singing. This old and broken down warrior struggled to stand, placed his hand/cap over his heart, and wept as the choir sang. The humble and noble expression on his face said everything to me. There stands a true hero. Also, the actions of these kids tell me that even though some people say America is bruised, she for sure ain't broken. God bless us all.“

Waiting in line to pay for groceries while maintaining a 6ft distance, this man cut in line. He didn't appear to notice what he’d done.

The person he skipped didn't say anything, just maintained the proper distance.

When it was time for the man to pay he reached in his back pocket and pulled out a small note pad. He’d forgotten his wallet.

He looked a bit disappointed and embarrassed. The person he skipped stepped up and told the cashier they’d take care of his groceries. (Which only consisted of Milk and Chocolate Chip Cookies.)

He was more than grateful. He kindly thanked them and off the man went.

Upon arrival to the register, the cashier asked: “He cut you off and you paid for his groceries.. Why??“

“They calmly replied with a smile: “I hope that if one day my Dad forgets his wallet, someone will step up and buy his Milk and Cookies“

With all the negativity going on in the world..I thought it would be nice to share this moment.

A little kindness goes a long way. Why not pay it forward?

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. Amazing, he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, What am I doing? I'm too old for this, and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.
Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, “Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go.“
The old gentleman paused. Then he said, “Years ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.“
“Have a good day, sir,“ replied the trooper.

An alcoholic friend of Philip Yancey once said to him:

“When I'm late to church, people turn around and stare at me with frowns of disapproval. I get the clear message that I'm not as responsible as they are. When I'm late to AA, the meeting comes to a halt and everyone jumps up to hug and welcome me. They realize that my lateness may be a sign that I almost didn't make it. When I show up, it proves that my desperate need for them won out over my desperate need for alcohol.“

Lets make sure that people know how welcome they always are, that our table is really big and that there is always a place with their name on it at our table.

“Tonight while I was out riding around looking for something to eat, I was riding on I-10 and I noticed this elderly lady driving by herself headed towards Florida.

I noticed that she was weaving all over her lane and at one point she nearly side swiped a truck to her right, they blew the horn and she eased over to the other lane so I decided to pull her over to check on her.

I got her stopped and she told me that she was trying to make it to Pensacola, so I asked where was she coming from and she stated she was coming from San Antonio.

She told me that she was OK and that she could make it to P’cola so I advised her that she wasn’t gonna make it driving like that so I asked when was the last time she ate anything and she told me around lunch time so I escorted her to Waffle House on DIP. I sat outside in the car until she finished eating.

She walked out and tried to offer me some money, but I told her I couldn’t accept that because it’s part of my job to protect and serve so she asked me would I accept a hug and I told her I would do that.

The Moral of the story is if we just look out for each other this would be a Better Country. I guess I don’t have to work for a Major Police Department to be able to help someone in need…I Still Love This Job!!!”

Yesterday evening while backing out of a parking space at a restaurant, I had a gentleman pull up beside me and told me he needed some money for food for his two daughters that were 7 and 15 years old, and me being a little skeptical at first, told him...... I will head to Walmart and you can pick up a few things for you and your daughters if you would like to meet me there in 20 minutes and to my astonishment, he showed up a couple minutes after I pulled into the parking lot.

On the way into the store he told me I was the 6th person he asked for help today and everyone else shunned him away.

As he was shopping I caught him counting the groceries in the basket and I asked, If everything was okay? He said, he wanted to make sure they had enough food to last them throughout the week.

I told him “Get as much food as you want. I've been there before so I completely understand.“

He looked up from the basket and confessed to me that his wife left him after 19 years with no explanation and hasn't contacted their daughters since she left which was 4 months ago. He broke down in tears and said “she was my everything, do you care if I give you a hug?“ And I said “of course“.

As I stood there hugging this gentleman I've never met before in my entire life in the middle of walmart, I had a sudden realization that there are still good men out in this world and this man is prime example of just that.

Aye, listen up — NO stay at home mother’s out there —- please listen up! ❤️

“From a woman police officer..

I hung up the belt last week, and not for the reason you may think.

I have been a police Officer for 6 years. I worked for the department for almost 10 years total. I met my husband there, and we have two beautiful girls.

I wanted to be a police Officer since I was a little girl. I was a tomboy who liked sports, getting muddy and proving that I was just as tough as the boys.

I loved being a police Officer. I loved meeting people from all walks of life and to hear their stories. I loved sharing advice to people who needed direction. If a tragedy were to happen, I wanted to be there to help. I loved being a servant to my community.

I love my Blue family, my partners who protected me and I them. We are more than just coworkers, partners or even friends. We are truly a family.

Trust me, there is a lot of evil that shows it’s face in this field and a lot to hate about it. But God lead me through that evil and I knew whatever was going to come my way, God was with me.

I left because I felt a new calling. One that some would say is controversial. Especially during a time when the ideal woman has a masculine attitude, is breaking glass ceilings and busting out of molds…

I left because I felt the call to be a homemaker. Yep, that’s right. From one extreme to the other. I want to take care of my own children myself, to care for my husband, and to keep a peaceful, clean and loving home.

People can say what they will about stay at home moms, but having a mother in the home is one of Gods greatest gifts. Mother’s raise up the next generation of men and woman. I really can’t think of a more foundational or important roll.

I think we have been tricked into thinking a two income household is what is best for society. What we need now more than ever is strong men and strong women who are founded in morality and walk with God.

Women, if you ever felt the call to take responsibility of your home and care for your family in the deepest way. You’re not alone and you’re feeling that call for a reason. Go after it.”

This man in Kentucky lost his house in the tornado last week. His sister heard something coming from the house and filmed him sitting alone on a waterlogged piano with missing keys in a decimated living room secretly playing the hymn “Something About The Name.“

A picture of the Christian life. Worship in the storm.
Someone you know is preparing for their first Holiday without their husband, wife, mother, father, brother, sister, daughter or son. Others are preparing for their last.

Regardless of the specifics, remember that this season of joy is often times a season of sorrow for many. Be kind, be generous, give love, give help; if nothing else, just don't give people a hard time.

Following my appointment this morning to check on our growing baby boy, my husband and I stopped at Walmart in Evans to pick up a couple of things. As we were walking to the refrigerated section, we noticed a woman who had passed out and fallen on the floor.

Being a registered nurse, my first instinct was of course to stop, assess, and be there to help. She had regained orientation, but did say she was on blood thinners and felt dizzy.

So I stayed with her, along with her daughter and the Walmart personnel, until the ambulance came and tried to encourage her to stay seated. The Walmart staff was amazing. They kept in contact with dispatch as we waited on the bus to arrive.

Then there was Jason. I don't know his last name, but this man, no questions asked got down on the floor with this woman and supported her back so she could lean against him. He literally got down on the floor to serve her, not because he was asked to do it, he wasn't, but because he wanted to. this right here was one human being loving and serving another without condition of race or obligation.

While we waited, another man stopped, knelt down and prayed over this woman. What I experienced today was love, kindness, and serving. We are human beings, each and every one of us regardless of how much pigmentation our skin has or doesn't have.

This right here is real life, this is what it's all about, not hate.❤️

The oxygen is gone. 😭

Those are the words that showed up on my phone this morning. The Titanic submarine with 5 people, had 96 hours of oxygen.

A man named Stockton Rush is one of the 5 aboard this sub. He is the CEO of OceanGate which operates this vessel. Stockton is a billionaire.

Stockton’s wife is the great- great granddaughter of Isidro and Ida Strauss; the well known couple who died on the Titanic in 1912. Isidor is known for making sure all women and children were first in reaching safety. Ida, refused to leave his side.

While there are lots of emotional stories that can be taken from all of this; my first thought is the unknown of how our lives will end. None of these people decided to leave the planet this way. They were explorers, adventurers, researchers.

All of that being said, one thing is true…money will never be your greatest investment. It will never be your last thought to have wished for more. Rather, your relationships will now be front and center. The people you love and who have loved you- are the investments. And even greater, is your investment with Jesus.

So while you are reading this, and have the oxygen to comprehend your life, make sure you have a life-line with Jesus.

My prayers are with them & family

18-year-old high school senior Antonio Gwynn Jr. went to clean the streets of his home city at 2 am because he knew people working early shifts needed to access those streets.
Matt Block, a stranger, saw Gwynn's story on the news and decided to give him his prized 2004 red Mustang convertible—which was like a message from his mom who owned a red Mustang and had passed away. A local college, Medaille College, also offered a free tuition— where he plans to study Business starting this Fall. This is what community looks like ❤️.
