Most of the ORS in the Indian pharmacies are FAKE!

Fake ORS has high sugar and dangerously low sodium. Consuming fake ORS has resulted in many kids being admitted to the ICU because of brain swelling.

Fortunately, we can pick the right ORS by following these simple steps.

1) Real ORS will have “based on WHO recommendation“ written on the front package.
2) Fake ORS is classified as a food (not a drug) and will always have a FSSAI sign on the package. Whereas Real ORS does not fall under FSSAI and will not have any FSSAI sign on the package.

I request all pharmacies to stop selling fake ORS and I request regulatory bodies to take action against fake ORS!
Label Padhega India was labelled as the “2nd biggest consumer awareness program“ after Jago Grahak Jago in India by Economic Times.

Jago Grahak Jago was a government initiative in which they spent crores of rupees on TV ads, but Label Padhega India was started without government support on a very limited budget. Really proud of what we created together!

Even though Economic Times wrote a long article on Label Padhega India, they did not mention me anywhere. This makes me feel happy because this means that Label Padhega India has become a health movement bigger than me or any individual.

Excited to keep growing the health literacy movement in India!

This 4 year old child said no Oreo after reading the label. India is changing.
Bournvita, Horlicks, Boost etc cannot use the term “health drink“ anymore!

Proud of the community we have built together! Let us become flag-bearers of positive change in India!

Jai hind!

The unbelievable reality of Indian packaged food that everyone should see!

I request all authorities to take these marketing gimmicks seriously and take some action!
Everyone knows Maggi is unhealthy, but how healthy is Atta Maggi?

I had gone to an underprivileged school to speak at an event where a student told me that they no longer have rotis, but they have Atta maggi for dinner everyday.

I asked him why? He said because Atta Maggi's ad says that it has the fibre of 3 rotis, so instead of rotis, it is more convenient for their family to have Atta Maggi!

I felt really sad that day and I understood how much misleading ads manipulate millions of Indian parents everyday!

Here is a brutally honest review of Atta Maggi!
Let’s end junk food in hospitals!

The same patients who go to hospitals to recover from illnesses, get ill in hospitals because of junk food! You go to the best hospitals of the country and even they are filled with samosas, kachoris, chips and other junk food.

Hospitals are supposed to be pillars of health and they should serve healthy food to patients. In fact, the food at hospitals should set an example that can be followed by school canteens, college hostels and office canteens!

I request every hospital to provide better quality food to patients!

#LetsEndJunkFoodinHospitals
Today, I'm excited to launch the first ever “Indian Steps Premier League“ with the ambition to make India start walking again!

According to studies, India is one of the laziest countries in the world! We walk only 4300 steps a day, which is 39 out of 46 countries surveyed. This number is even lower for urban Indians.

Indian Steps Premier League helps you compete with your friends, family, office colleagues and people from other states on how many steps we take every month! There will be 36 teams (28 states & 8 union territories) and each person will be joining 1 of these 36 teams.

July was a trial month, and people from Bihar walked the most, followed by Chhattisgarh and Chandigarh! Maharashtra, Karnataka and West Bengal were not in the top 10!

Tracking steps alone is boring, but competing with friends, family and strangers makes fitness fun!

Everyone is invited to join the first edition of Indian Steps Premier League! To join the league, you have to join a Food Pharmer state group on the Fittr app.

I encourage you to invite your friends, family, office colleagues and make India start walking again!
Act 2 “Butter“ popcorn contains NO BUTTER!

If you look closely on the pack, it says “butter flavour“ not butter, as it contains artificial flavour of butter. Act 2 butter delite popcorn is ~60% corn, and the remaining 40% is mostly palm oil.

We often associate international brands with high quality. Interestingly, Act 2 is an American company, but I found 3 cleaner Indian popcorn companies (non-sponsored).

The food industry is severely broken, and there are hundreds of products that we eat everyday that are misleading us.

Let us read food labels before buying anything to reduce the likelihood of us getting cheated, and so that we put cleaner food into our bodies!
90% Indians do not know how much protein we need in a day! A low-protein diet is also linked to various health problems including Type 1 Diabetes and Insulin Resistance.

For those who don’t know, our body needs approximately 0.8𝐠 𝐭𝐨 1𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! So for example, a 75 kg person needs approximately 60g to 75g protein per day.

73% of Indians are protein deficient and in order to reduce this deficiency, I’ve partnered with a chef to come up with 2 high-protein breakfast options.

Both these options are vegetarian (without eggs) so that most people can use this!

Let us replace our high-sugar breakfasts (cornflakes, chocos, Nutella, jam, bournvita etc.) and make it a high-protein breakfast instead!

Please share with anyone who will find this useful!
This simple note from an Air India pilot became national news.

NDTV, Republic, Hindustan Times and many other leading channels covered this simple note.

While most news articles were very positive, some articles tried to make it unnecessarily controversial. I had previously made a video on the food served at Indigo airlines, and some newspapers connected this air India note to my old video about Indigo airlines.

I want to remind everyone-> I am not against any company. I am just trying to get companies market themselves more honestly and provide healthier alternatives.

I challenge companies to send court-cases to spiritual leaders. Let’s see if the giant companies have the courage to fight with spiritual leaders!

On a separate note, really happy to see spiritual leaders joining the health movement and openly call out food giants for misleading the customers. Full support!
Most people get happy seeing a long expiry date. Remember this: The longer the expiry date, the sooner we expire. Basically, the longer the shelf-life of the foods we consume, the shorter our life, because of the preservatives and fake ingredients used.

The products that are best for us (Fruits, Vegetables etc.) expire quickly, whereas packaged foods last for several months if not years!

Real food goes bad quickly! Fake foods last long!

Next time you’re at the grocery store, prioritize products that expire quick!

Disclaimer: Like every rule of thumb, there are a few exceptions and some products with a long expiry date also have benefits (e.g., honey, dried fruits)
