Being LGBT+ fellow at Mount Sinai โ€“

Lately I got some messages asking what does it mean to be an LGBT+ Fellow and how's my schedule looks like.
So first of all, I think it's amazing that at this crazy year Mount Sinai still found this 1st time Fellowship important enough to get going and gave it the needed resources.
As an infectious diseases physician who already doing LGBT+ medicine in Israel I guess it makes things easier to explore how this program looks like and taking part in giving it the right shape.

Monday โ€“ HRA (High resolution anocscopy) training and HIV medicine.
Tuesday โ€“ Transgender medicine day where I get to see patients on HRT and surgery followups.
Wednesdays - LGBT+ oriented psychiatry.
Thursday โ€“ HIV\STI's clinic having my own patients and follow ups.
Friday โ€“ LGBT+ Addictions medicine mainly participating in CMA (Crystal meth addicts) group and other relevant groups.
The next step is integrating โ€“ LGBT+ Adolescents medicine and Geriatrics.
This period is a good time for research too, using the great tools Sinai can offer.
So far so good!
