My advice to young people: Don’t do something that you don’t enjoy !

In the grand scheme of things, you’re only on this planet for a nanosecond, so all the more you spend your time doing something that gives you satisfaction !

It’s okay to jump from job to job until you get to that point when you realise you’re bouncing out of bed in the morning, not just for the money, but because you love what you do !

I'm so proud of all my colleagues, whether in store, warehouse, or office, because this week we have been able to donate a further £25,000 cash to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).  This takes our total cash donations from colleagues and the Theo Paphitis Charitable Trust to an incredible £150,000 in just 3 weeks!

The team also sorted out £110,000 worth of products donated from the brands, so this means that Theo Paphitis Retail Group has so far donated in excess of £260,000 worth of support for Ukraine - getting financial support and product where it’s needed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

You're never too young or too old.

Don’t be a busy fool !

You have got to know your purpose and desired outcome if you want to be successful at what you're doing.

So always remember to ask yourself:

Why are you doing this?
What are you trying to achieve?
Who are you trying to reach?

These are all things that need to be considered if you want to grow and thrive.

So always make sure to do your preparation and understand your purpose, because no one wants to be a busy fool !

Don’t be afraid to fail !

It’s rare for someone to get something spot on the first time around, and that’s just a simple fact of life.

The important thing to do in these situations is to not get disheartened, and take some time to understand what didn’t quite go to plan so you can implement those learnings next time.

With a bucket-load of drive and a spoonful of luck, those past failures will soon pave the way to your success !

To all those getting their A level results today, take a deep breath.

Whether you’ve got the grades you hoped for or not, let me tell you something: these results do not define you. They don’t decide how smart, driven or capable you are or in some cases they won't show where your talents lie, as academics are not for everyone - and they certainly don’t dictate what you can achieve in life.

When I was at school, the route wasn’t always clear for me, but life has a funny way of opening doors where you least expect them. Success comes in many different forms and it doesn’t always follow a straight line, but following something you are passionate about is so important !

Be proud of the hard work you’ve put in and if things haven’t gone to plan, that’s okay - it's a moment in time. Pick yourself up and look forward, because your future is still very much in your hands ! 👍
