2024: From a Tier-3 college to 𝗞𝗣𝗠𝗚, 𝗘𝗬 & 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 - 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆.

How did I ace my 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀?

In my final year, I discovered India’s first Futuristic School of Finance, known for its hands-on learning and academic-corporate integration.

I did this 15 minutes of HOMEWORK before going into interviews.

⏩ 5 minutes to look at the LinkedIn page of the person you’re about to meet.

⏩ 5 minutes to explore the company’s website, “About Us” and “What We Do”

⏩ 5 minutes to search the company name in Google and Look into their recent news.

One of the most effective ways to show that you did your homework is in the questions you ask.

“I saw that the company acquired company Y over two years ago - What has been the most surprising success and/or challenge for you in making that acquisition?”

“I understand the company has seen massive success with X since it launched; how has this team contributed to that growth?”

Here’s what you’ve shown:

⏩ You’re curious. Employers seek individuals who will ask questions and show a genuine curiosity to learn and understand.

⏩ You’re resourceful. You didn’t Google “5 best questions to ask in an interview” and then ask what the day-to-day is like for that role.

⏩ You care. Companies want to hire individuals that want to work there, period.

Ultimately, you’ve done your due diligence and set yourself apart.

Our parents DON'T approve of our career choices. We can't succeed.

It's Challenging when Parental Approval is missing.

If you are committed to your chosen path, you can find ways to address your parents' concerns and still build a fulfilling career.

I have seen so many cases of my friends.

To anyone facing this; your parents should support your aspirations, NOT dictate them.

If you truly love what you do and your parents disapprove, please Choose your Passion. Why?

Because you will never be truly Happy if you abandon what brings you joy.

If your chosen path is genuinely not good for you, then your parents' concerns might be valid.

But if their disapproval is due to Societal Norms then it's Misplaced.

Pursuing your Passion is not a crime.

Your Parents will eventually understand, and after they do, you will have no regrets about the choices you made.

Never make such a critical decision about your OWN life solely based on your parents' preferences.

Lastly I believe, while our parents want a secure and best future for us, it is ultimately US who make our lives Truly Secure through our Choices and Passions.
