I am soon to complete 15 years at Bestseller India and it is a big milestone for me & my family.

Planning to be more active on LinkedIn and share some highlights of my journey which include my learnings and experience of building Bestseller in India.

In 2011, I was a man with big dreams and a deep passion to deliver value to the organisation. I’ve tried to build that sense of responsibility and commitment into Bestseller India over the last decade and a half.

This journey being a rollercoaster ride would be an understatement and still, there’s miles to go.

How has Vero Moda been able to stay in the Indian wardrobe for over 15 years?

When we entered the Indian market in 2010, the influx of international fashion brands in India was just beginning. As a brand, VERO MODA saw overnight success because we were at the right place at the right time!

Back then, our first win was the newly introduced product category, ā€œJeggingsā€. A category of bottom wear that merged fashion & comfort seamlessly.

One key strategy that has worked for VERO MODA is just constantly evolving, customising, and adapting to consumer needs and preferences. Our fits are specially designed for the Indian body type.

Indian consumers love fashion, but they are also value conscious. So that’s been our constant endeavour and brand positioning for VERO MODA, to provide the best of international fashion while offering great value to our customers.

Over time, consumer preferences have changed, our target audience has evolved, competition has stiffened so our works’ cut out! There is so much we are doing on the product and store front, from working with newer fabrics and designs to setting up stores with a newer concept.

As of today, VERO MODA is available across 81 exclusive brand outlets, 50 multi-brand stores and 360 shop-in-shops.

But as with anything else in life, it’s still WIP.
