In Düsseldorf, the problem was clear. A massive highway had divided the city since the 1960s. But instead of fighting nature… they embraced it.

🌳 30,000 trees now cover a local building, turning it into a vertical forest.

Here’s how this living building works:
✅ Trees planted directly into walls & roofs with special substrates
💧 Smart irrigation delivers precise water & nutrients year-round
🌫️ Plants absorb pollution & release cooling water vapor
🌍 A natural air conditioning system, reducing urban heat

Results?

🌡️ Significantly lower local temperatures
🏙️ Now being replicated in London & Singapore

15 years and 664 million trees are reviving Madagascar’s mangroves, thanks to Ecologi | B Corp™ and Eden: People+Planet

Why do mangroves matter? Though they cover just 0.1% of Earth’s surface, they:

- Capture 10x more carbon than regular forests🌳
- Support diverse species of fish, birds, and marine life🐠🦜
- Shield coastlines from storms and erosion🛡️

But they're disappearing fast, with half of Madagascar’s mangroves lost in the last decade

Restoring them could cost $4 billion by 2030

Still, there's hope! 🙏

The second image shows the impact of planting 7.9 million trees in North-West Madagascar through Ecologi

And it’s not just Madagascar. In Uganda, 300 farmers—57% of them women—are restoring land, boosting biodiversity, and increasing their incomes.

Philister Khana, featured in the 3rd image, has grown from just 4 trees to 2,000 in only two years!
