How to identify creative people.

They repeat what you say with examples.

They use analogies, synonyms, and metaphors.

When conversations become complex -

They make them simple.

Because creatives don’t tell people facts or opinions.

They show them.

By using examples to provide empathy.

Few can remember the definition of e = mc 2.

Because even though Albert Einstein was one of the best physicists -

He was even better at turning observations into numbers.

His inspiration didn’t come from equations.

It came from real life examples.

And imagination.

These people are not naturally more creative.

They’re more empathetic which makes them more creative.

The hardest part?

Being vulnerable enough to show how you feel with examples.

And curious enough to explore them.

Because people don’t remember what you say.

They remember how they felt.
How can an agency implement Account-based Marketing effectively?

In a recent Forbes article, I shared my view on how this could be achieved.

Closing a particular account requires a huge investment in resources and focus. The key is to ensure that target clients have been thoroughly vetted, researched, and chosen.

This helps to reduce the risks of over-investing in a sale that doesn't close.

Potential customers, when considering your products or services, are looking for a reason to buy from you.

It’s certainly easier to choose the market leader (which you might not be), but everyone’s tastes are different and many people will want to go with a company that they feel connected to.

That’s where storytelling is so important.

But telling the right stories — the ones that resonate with your audience — rather than ones that are self-serving and not credible, is essential for gaining customers’ trust.

Capture that trust, and you capture their hearts, no matter how small your marketing budget or corporate office is.

Agreed? Comment “Yes” if you agree on the importance of storytelling in order to gain trust from customers.

Successful businesses don’t just create and consume data. They use it to improve. For insight. To guide their decisions and goals.

It’s so easy to collect data these days that everyone is doing it. But here’s the rub: having that data and using it efficiently are two very different things.

Analytics are only as good as your reaction to them. It’s what you do with that data deluge that matters.

You need to use it to get better and more able to deliver the experience your customers want. When you see X in the data, you need to respond with Y. You need to react to the data.

What do you think? Share them with me in the comments.

Understanding what your audience wants is crucial for any content marketing strategy.

Of course, the better you get to know your target audience, the more specifically you can address their needs.

This is also where your creativity comes in. Steve Jobs once said, “You can’t just ask customers what they want and then give it to them. By the time you get it built, they’ll want something new.”

In truth, customers don’t know what they want. They know what they don’t want—the problems they face every day.

It’s your duty to find a way to solve those problems through the content you share.

Agreed? Let me know your thoughts.
