It was such a pleasure to visit Lisbon together with my fellow board member Chris Townsend to connect with our Portuguese teams and partners, and celebrate the inauguration of Allianz Services #Portugal.

Allianz has been successfully serving retail and corporate customers in Portugal for 25 years. Today, we are investing in Portugal to further grow our footprint in this dynamic market with the opening of an Allianz Services branch. Since July, #AllianzServicesPortugal operates the internal contact center and serves as talent hub for further shared services in Portugal and beyond. 
 
Opening an Allianz Services branch in Portugal is an important investment, and a key milestone to bring an additional set of global expertise and assets from the Allianz Group into the country which our local business, and ultimately our customers, will greatly benefit from. This was only possible through the good collaboration of all teams involved in Portugal, India, and Germany. The new branch will help us improve and scale-up our service quality and #customer excellence in Portugal and become a hub for further investments.

It would be impossible to drive growth in Portugal without our longstanding partner Banco BPI. Thank you for joining us last night and for the insightful discussions Diogo Sousa Louro and João Pedro Oliveira e Costa.

And above all, thank you to my colleagues Teresa Brantuas, Turan Sahin, Susana Alves Albuquerque da Cunha, Jison John, and all teams who made this happen. I leave Portugal with a sense of excitement about our growth prospects.
