Here is the breakdown of 4 key terms 👇
1️⃣ GenAI (Generative AI)
→AI that creates brand new content from scratch
→Can write stories, make images, compose music
→Think: The creative AI that generates new things
2️⃣ LLM (Large Language Model)
→A type of GenAI specialized in language
→Reads, understands, and writes text
→Think: The brain that understands and creates words
3️⃣ AI Agent
→Uses an LLM to understand, then takes actions with tools
→Can send emails, check weather, book appointments
→Think: Brain + hands that actually do things
4️⃣ Agentic AI
→Most advanced - sets its own goals and plans
→Uses multiple agents, adapts without instructions
→Think: Autonomous assistant that gets stuff done independently
Stop using these words interchangeably.
They mean different things.
This matters if you are:
* The Founder creating AI strategy
* The Builder implementing AI solutions
* The Consultant planning the automated workflows
