I for too long felt embarrassed to truly own my worth with companies I worked for.

I was scared of being fired especially since I was a single mom.

Instead I was devalued (which is MUCH worse than being fired).

Once I honored and recognized my value and talent so did the companies I worked for OR then I realized my time was up with them.

Creating my businesses allowed me to truly own my worth and see my own value.

And to never be afraid to say

I am the BEST at what I do💪🏽

Believe it’s true!

Business is gender neutral.

When I am in a business/work situation or environment.

I do not change who I am or how I conduct business.

I do not feel I need to be more or less of anything when I work with men vs. women.

I am knowledgeable.

I am strong.

I am assertive.

I am kind.

I am compassionate.

I am a negotiator.

I am feminine but I am also masculine.

I am an expert at what I do.

I am a entrepreneur and business owner.

I am just Corina.

Absolutely NOTHING in my life brings me more joy than seeing my girls smile.

God has blessed me with 4 daughters who are my biggest supporters.

Every thing I have done has been for them.

To be a better mother.

Teach through example.

Strong and courageous.

Becoming a mom at 19 was not easy.

Becoming a single parent at 28 of 3 with no college degree or real work experience was scary.

But these difficult experiences molded me into who I am today, so I wouldn’t change a thing.

I truly do not believe I would be the same person if it wasn’t for my girls and the mother I want to be for them.

I have taken financial risks that didn’t pay off.

Boy it sucked.

Big time.

But I didn’t give up.

I still invest in mentors, coaches and specialized teams to help me LEARN and GROW my business success.

Being a mother of 4, it’s not easy to make these financial decisions but I BELIEVE in my goals and what I am trying to achieve.

It truly does take a village to build and pave the road to success.

Mentors, Entrepreneurs, Business Professionals, Coaches… still need the same support, we need to be mentored and coached as well.

It’s important to normalize the cost of those investments.

College education is encouraged, the costs are a HUGE investment.

Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn’t.

Investing in yourself through those who’ve already walked the walk and can help you take some short cuts.

Is imperative for long term success.

Sports athletes, singers, actors ALWAYS have coaches.

Amazing!!

Have the courage to be disliked.

When you have a vision and a passion, people- even those closest to you may question you at first.

But when they see your success, they will start to ask you how you did it.

I lost 99.9% of my community, my friends, loved ones, I had so many people doubt my true intentions when I re-started my life.

When you go against the grain of what others are doing, you will absolutely confront resistance.

I was the villain in their story to comfort them in their deflection.

This life is meant for us to live individually, not for others.

One of the greatest challenges to achieving success is being OK with doubters, haters and naysayers.

Tips on how to overcome while staying in life of love rather than anger and resentment:

✨Know who you truly are 100%

📚Be willing to work on yourself first (priority!!) before anything else, your mindset is your greatest foundation to success.

🧘🏻Be OK with being alone in ways you’ve never been before, in your pursuit of self discovery.

⚠️Trust your intuition, know the difference between selfishness, fear and doubt VS. Guidance, light and what you’re destined to do.

Pursue your goals with passion and determination.

Who went? 🤓

Time is unforgiving.

And yet it is a beautiful thing to see time pass and to witness what evolves and grows.

The problem is, we constantly live our lives as if we have plenty of it.

I will put it off for tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.

When it can be done today.

Today we can plan our goals.

We can take our trips and make memories.

We can travel and move.

Make new friends and laugh.

Today is what is promised.

I know I am an emotional human and perhaps I feel the pains of time passing more fiercely then others.

I truly notice it when I stop and allow myself to feel the changes around me.

It is indeed bittersweet.

I am so incredibly grateful to see my first born turn 18 in April, graduate from High School and receive her Cosmetology license.

11 years ago, she was only 7 when I became a single parent.

And for years after she was my other half and will always be my best friend.

Today was one of those days where I realize that I am moving towards life changing.

Bittersweet changes.

We have signed her new apartment lease and she moving to Hawaii in July.

I am so thrilled for her new adventure and I am absolutely so proud of her.

And I am so grateful I am apart of helping her get where she is.

Sorry not sorry for the real life sappy post, I’m just crying with happiness and knowing I will miss her while she is away🥲❤️🏝

Why I chose self made as one of my daily reminders..

When I started my crazy journey where I was a single mother of 3.

Majority of the people I knew and called family turned their backs on me.

My family struggled to understand at first why I refused to be suppressed and put into a box of who I was “supposed to be”.

I was absolutely judged for many years.

I did not allow anyones perception of my reality to change my course.

I BELIEVED my calling.

I felt it in my gut and heart.

I truly had to stand alone.

I kept the faith.

I kept a positive mindset.

I grew more ambitious and dreamed bigger.

Trials came and I overcame them.

I failed, I overcame it.

I lost, I overcame it.

I still kept fighting for my dreams.

BELIEVING.

Over the years, I am grateful to have met my other half.

My family has come to understand and see truth of what I endured.

My daughters are growing up to be my best friends.

But I didn’t start off in the hardest parts of my journey with a “tribe” of people or women support system.

Self made is more than wealth.

Wealth and success takes a team.

But unstoppable mindset is 💯 dependent on you to believe.

God WANTS you to trust in yourself, having faith in him.

He WANTS you to feel empowered, that you CAN.

Life isn’t meant to be done alone but it’s when you are (feel) alone you see what you’re truly made of.

When times get hard, I remember everything I’ve been thru and I’ve got what it takes to make it to the other side.

I didn’t go to business school.

I didn’t major in marketing.

I actually didn’t graduate from college.

I had zero experience in branding, let alone online social selling.

Starting literally from the bottom at 28 years old, financially and workspace experience.

I was terrible at sales when I first started in my career 12 years ago.

What I DID to change my life in my career and ultimately to become a successful entrepreneur today DESPITE my past circumstances.

Learned from the school of hard knocks & what it taught me (daily!! Listen and you too will learn).

🔔How to be resilient.

🔔Become a professional high quality multi-tasker (motherhood).

🔔Know how to make a dollar stretch and budget (and boy I sure do).

🔔How to cry and allow myself to feel my feelings (do not suppress, exhale and release!!) but never stop putting one foot in front of the other.

🔔Be creative in problem solving- not only in business but personal life.

🔔Always thinking innovative and outside the box.

🔔Build relationships authentically in business (all of my experiences can relate to so many DIFFERENT people).

🔔Understand the difference between selling and becoming a solution specialist, then putting into action.

🔔Create a journal that blends business goals with mindset, gratitude, daily actions and manifesting dreams into reality (yes I wrote it 💯 🙋🏻‍♀️💗).

A lack of “paper” saying what I am an expert at did not stop me from utilizing what LIFE can hand us if we want to change our circumstances.

Defy the odds of what anyone says you’re not “qualified” for and become that unstoppable person you’re meant to be.

I refused to allow any of this to define me

To say my worth is this

One thing that is the same

Believe in yourself when others don’t

Never giving up on yourself when others will

Do it all for you

Never for anyone else

You will grow

You will learn what you didn’t know yesterday

The financial opportunities will come in abundance

College education isn’t for everyone

You can still be successful

Intuition is the greatest teacher

Do not ever let anyone define you from what they can see from the outside
