Currently living my worst nightmare

My mom, dad, brother and aunt who lives next door all have #covid19

Went home with my sister to help out my family in NJ

My dad isn’t in great health and just got over a big health scare so this is pretty devastating

But I have faith he will pull through this, too 🙏🏼

I don’t want your sympathy

I just want you to take this virus seriously because it’ll turn your whole world upside down

Stay inside and be diligent. They took every precaution but somehow everything went wrong. We don’t know who, what or when

I never thought this would impact my family so directly

I tried so hard not to get sick before, but at the end of the day love is all that matters

I’ll risk getting sick if it means my dad will get better

Stay safe. Family above everything 🙏🏼❤️

Don’t ever let someone tell you that it’s too late for you to make your comeback

Your comeback will always be stronger than your setback 💪🏼

Understand this:

You are not missing out on anything when you are busy working on your goals and dreams.

All the hustle, early mornings, late nights, and missed parties…

WILL pay off 🔥

Stay focused.

Who’s with me?

My dad is not a #covid19 statistic

The hospital tried to treat him like one

Almost not giving him the care due to his age and probabilities of survival

His health took a turn for the worse one night and they decided not to put him on a ventilator when that was his only chance. They told us to say our goodbyes in the morning

We said HELL NO. We fought for him. We got him a ventilator

He has extreme will power

He grew up as a poor farmer’s son in Palestine during war

His whole family lived in one room

He had no light at home & studied during his long walks to school

Education was his way out. He went to medical on scholarship in Egypt. Always #1 in his class

He came to America & became a surgeon. He became chief of surgery of many hospitals in NJ. He even opened up a medical center

His passion was to help people live longer and healthier, its all he cared about & talked about

My dad loves to live. He always wished to live to 100 years old. That was his wish every birthday

After nearly a week of very little responsiveness on the ventilator today my dad OPENED HIS EYES and TRIED TO SPEAK TO US

God is good 🙏🏼

Dad, we’re going to help make your wish true

When you come home, you ain’t leaving until you’re 100 years old ❤️

The only qualifier that truly matters:

The rest will follow!

The truth about being a female entrepreneur:

You’re questioned.

You’re doubted.

You’re judged.

A LOT.

Here's what I have to say to the haters:

I’ve put in A LOT of hard work to get to where I am today.

I’ve made sacrifices.

I’ve worked long hours day in and day out.

I’ve given EVERYTHING I have to this.

So,

if you have your own idea of how I’ve “gotten to the top”…

Let me remind you how I did:

GRIT.

PASSION.

CONSISTENCY.

DISCIPLINE.

That’s it.

Now…

To all the aspiring female entrepreneurs out there, know that you have what it takes to succeed.

Believe in yourself.

Surround yourself with a supportive network.

And NEVER ever give up on your dreams.

You can achieve ANYTHING you set your mind to.

Period.

People don’t have to like it…

And you don’t have to care!

One of my top performers asked for a month off of work.

I said yes.

When an employee has shown up at their best every single day,

And suddenly they feel:
👉🏼 Burnt out
👉🏼 Stressed
👉🏼 Uninspired

They need to take a step back and rest.

It's so easy to burn out when you’re always on GO mode (I’ve been there too!)

Whenever this happens at YAP, we:
👉🏼 Look for the source of burnout so we can resolve it ASAP
👉🏼 Create a plan to ensure things run smoothly while they’re OOO
👉🏼 Make sure they are paid so they don’t have to worry about finances

And every time, our employees come back:
👉🏼 Feeling rejuvenated and recharged
👉🏼 Hitting the ground running like they never felt
👉🏼 Sharing all of her new ideas and strategies

When you empower your team to take the time off that they need,

They return more energized, focused, and ready to give their ALL 👏🏼

Let’s normalize taking care of your team while they're in AND out of the office!

I created a career by capitalizing on my rejections.

Here’s how you can too:

- Stop worrying about what others think
- Take opportunities to practice
- Don’t be afraid to start over
- Stay open to the different paths available to you
- Keep learning and working on yourself

YOU GOT THIS.

I am a CEO.

I am an Entrepreneur.

My success is not because of my gender

My success is due to my hard work, passion, and grit

I’m ready to drop the gender and get down to work

If I can do it, you can do it too 💪🏼

This negotiation hack is really going to BLOW YOUR MIND:

Saying the wrong thing on purpose so that the other person gets to correct you.

People love to correct.

When people get to correct someone it feels so good to them, it's almost addicting….

Think about it this way…

Like Maya Angelo once said:

‘People don't remember what you said. They remember how you made him feel.’

So if they corrected you when they gave you that close-to-guarded information, they remember how they feel when they said it…

They remember it felt great at the moment and they're not going to regret sharing really intimate details with you, because it felt so good while they were doing it.

Try this out and let me know how it works!

If running my own company for the last 5 years has taught me ONE thing…

It’s that your employees matter first and foremost!

A few weeks ago, I shared that I’d NEVER work in an office again.

In the comments, there was some chatter about how “employers prefer in person settings.”

Guess what? I AM an employer… 😂

And I DON’T prefer in person settings!

In 2025, we’ve already seen an unfortunate trend of forced RTO…

In my opinion, employers that force their employees to return to the office do NOT care about their employees! 🤷🏻‍♀️

According to a recent study from Pew Research, employees feel the same way:

46% of employees who currently work from home (at least sometimes) say they’d be unlikely to stay at their job if they could no longer do so.

That number jumps up to 61% when it comes to employees who work remotely full time!

Leaders, your employees happiness at work should always be your number 1️⃣ priority…

Not WHERE they work, HOW they work, WHEN they work.

If they can get the job done from their home…

Why won’t you let them ⁉️

This is what I would change about my professional career before entrepreneurship:

Absolutely NOTHING ‼️

Every single experience I went through taught me an invaluable lesson:

When I interned for free at NYC’s number one hip hop radio station for 3️⃣ years…

I learned that I love to entertain people with my voice and the behind the scenes of radio/audio production 📻

When I created my own music and entertainment blog with 50+ bloggers…

It was my first taste of motivating + building teams, and hacking social media platforms 🚀

When I didn’t get the promotion at work I thought I had rightfully earned after years of dedication…

The rejection pushed me to look outside of the corporate world and take my career into my own hands.

I started to post on Linkedin and build a personal brand, which eventually gave me the freedom and foundation to start my company, YAP Media ‼️

I wouldn’t be where I am today without all the experiences I had first.

My success was not DELAYED by these experiences, it was DUE to these experiences!

TRUST THE PROCESS!

This might make you a little uncomfortable…

But you shouldn’t JUST focus on the algorithm when it comes to creating content.

The algorithm isn’t the ONLY factor in determining how well a post does:

- Strong personal branding
- High-value content
- A genuine engaged audience

Don’t prioritize the algorithm – prioritize your MESSAGE.

It’ll make all the difference!

I’m diving into everything personal branding and LinkedIn this Wednesday at 11AM EST

People aren’t going to remember if you were entry-level or C-suite…

But they will remember how they felt after interacting with you.

Let me be real with you for a second…

If you’re not making any sales – it’s because people don’t trust you.

You’re leading with the pitch before building any rapport.

A high-converting funnel doesn’t just sell, it creates trust and safety.

It says:
✨ I see you
✨ I get your pain
✨ I have something that can help, if you’re ready

That’s the trick 😉

Lead with value. Build trust. Then softly guide them toward your offer.

Want a real example of how to build trust LIVE? ⬇️

I’m going live in 30 MINUTES: https://lnkd.in/gzPymaYs

To walk you through the exact funnel strategy I used to generate over $500k in course sales last year!!

This is your LAST chance to join the Slay Your 6-Figure Funnel webinar.

You don’t want to miss out on this 🔥

I’m firing myself from YAP Media…

Because I’m underperforming.

As the company’s CEO, the top podcaster in our Podcast Network, and head of marketing…

I can’t keep up with all of it. It’s time to pass the baton.

So I’m officially hiring someone to take on the role of Marketing Director and run with it:
🎯 A strategic operator with sharp instincts
⚡ A leader who knows marketing and business development
🎙️ Someone who gets podcasts, content, and growth
📈 And has the execution skills to bring it all to life

This role reports directly to ME.

You’ll lead high-impact initiatives, grow our podcast network, and shape the next chapter of YAP Media.

We’ve built something special.

Now we need the right person to help us scale it.

Know someone brilliant? Tag them.

Think it's you? Apply now: https://lnkd.in/gncZyaj8

I’m hiring.
