Reliance Jio is working with IIT Bombay to launch Bharat GPT!

As Mukesh Ambani’s elder son Akash Ambani attends IIT Bombay’s annual fest, he reveals Jio’s plans to launch an operating system for TV.

Bharat GPT is a large language model (LLM) which is specified for India’s needs.

Jio is working with Professor Ganesh Ramakrishnan, from the department of CSE at IIT Bombay, on LLM-based solutions for businesses like telecom and retail.

Apart from IIT Bombay, other IITs from Hyderabad, Kanpur, Madras, Mandi as well as IIIT Hyderabad and IIM Indore are also working on this Bharat GPT project.

After setting the foundation of Viacom18 in 2023, Jio aims to create a whole ecosystem in the industry and shape Jio 2.0.

It is set to use AI not only in AI but also across industries like media, commerce, communication, electronics and others.

As of now, Bharat GPT program is only at its beginning stage where it completed the analysis with LLMs and generative AI.

Jio has already taken the first mover advantage in 5G, so it is set to provide offers like 5G stack for big businesses in 2024.

P.S. - On the other hand, Jio is acquiring a 51% stake in the partnership with Disney’s India business, it’s a crucial step forward.

It'll be interesting to see how it leverages the same in future!

Is AI going to be a masterstroke for Jio 2.0?

Do you think Bharat GPT can transform our television experience?

India bids TATA to its brightest jewel, RATAN TATA!

3 days ago, he rejected rumours about his health on social media and relieved all of us that he was in good spirits.

As he was undergoing medical checkups because of his age-related medical conditions, it seemed a normal routine for him.

But God has other plans.

Yesterday, at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital, he left us alone in this materialistic world and departed for heaven.

Here are 10 lesser-known facts about India’s most legendary businessman:

1. After his parents' separation at a young age, Ratan Tata was primarily raised by his grandmother, Lady Navajbai Tata.

He faced bullying in school for his parents' separation.

2. During World War II, his grandmother sold her jewellery to help the Tata Group maintain employee salaries when business was affected.

3. He studied architecture at Cornell University and worked with an architecture firm in Los Angeles. He wanted to be an architect.

4. Early in his career, he turned down a job offer from IBM to join the Tata Group.

Initially, he was hesitant to join the family business and later JRD Tata convinced him to return to India and join the Tata Group.

5. In his 20s, he nearly got married to someone in Los Angeles, but the relationship didn't work out as he had to return to India.

6. He was a trained pilot and was the first civilian in India to fly an F-16 Falcon fighter jet in 2007.

7. When he joined Tata Steel his first job involved shovelling limestone and handling the blast furnace.

8. Ford Motor Company had mocked Ratan Tata when he tried to sell them the struggling Tata Motors. A few years later, Tata Motors acquired Jaguar Land Rover from Ford and saved their business.

9. During the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, he stood at the entrance of the Taj Hotel, supervised relief operations, and visited injured employees.

10. He was a passionate dog lover and has set up a special 9,000-square-foot dog adoption centre in Mumbai called 'Bombay House.'

In his words, “I don't believe in taking the right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right.“

Though Ratan Tata did not leave behind any son or daughter to take his lineage forward, he has inspired crores of us to take that responsibility.

He was not just a mentor, businessman, leader, speaker, advisor, or the pride of a nation, he was truly a legend!

He is even the God for crores whose lives he has saved to date!

We will miss you every day.

You will live in our hearts forever.

P. S.- Rest in peace legend. Heaven will be blessed to have your presence!

Did his journey inspire you in life?

What is one takeaway you picked from his journey?
