Marcus Rashford has done so much for this country by pressuring the government into giving kids free school meals.

Bukayo Saka is only 19 years old.

Jadon Sancho is only 21 year old.

Nobody intentially misses a penalty kick.

We do not hate, these young men have given us so much.

They made us believe.

I have so much respect for what they’ve all achieved so young.

Bumble are at it again.

Following the success of their company-wide week off earlier this year, the leadership team have made collective leave a permanent benefit.

Twice a year, all offices will close for 7 days, giving every member of staff a week of rest.

They’ve also introduced updates to compassionate leave policies, including:

- A minimum of 12 weeks paid leave per year for family caregivers
- A minimum of 20 days paid leave per year for victims of violent crimes, including domestic abuse
- A minimum of 15 days paid leave per year for those grieving a loss, including miscarriage
- A minimum of 6 months paid leave in the case of birth, adoption and surrogacy

Great things happen when you put people first and Bumble are leading the pack.
I saw this on twitter yesterday.

This morning, I am getting a flight back to Manchester from Palma for £27.

In the UK, this would just about get me from Manchester to Leeds one way.

There would be no way this would get me from Manchester to London, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.

Today, it wouldn't get me anywhere because there are train strikes.

Having reliable and affordable connectivity within the UK is essential for economic growth.

The cost of traveling is becoming unbearable for businesses and individuals. There are a number of solutions which we have to explore. There needs to be major investment into our infrastructure, especially in the North.

If flying from one country to another is more reasonable and reliable than our own country's train system, this is going to continue to encourage individuals to explore leaving the country on a full-time basis.
Tom Daley has won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics!

Having burst onto the Olympic scene when he was just 14 years old!

13 years later at his 4th Olympics, he has finally won a gold medal!

This is an incredible journey of determination, Tom has inspired a generation of athletes!

Well done Tom and Matty 🏅

Ocado Group allows working from home staff to move abroad 👏🏻

The post-pandemic workplace may be under constant re-imagination but this move is a genuinely great one.

Ocado’s teams are still being actively encouraged back into the office but will also be given the chance to take one month each year to work from abroad.

For those with families overseas, this means the ability to see them without using up holiday allowance.

More broadly, it means increased balance and choice for employees.

Getting people back into the office should be the top priority but means nothing if a degree of flexibility is not awarded alongside it.

A fantastic move from Ocado and one with strong potential to re-inspire their people in the return to work.
This diagram depicts exactly how I feel about the education system.

But what does the future of education look like?

The education was built in the 1800s around the 9-5 concept of readying students for the world of work.

The education system we have in place currently no longer teaches students the skills they need for the modern world.

It should be adapting and fit for the future of work, not stuck in the past.

With exams cancelled this year it presents a huge opportunity for us to re-think how our education system is delivered to young people across the world.

It teaches you things you can learn on google, whilst it doesn’t teach you the skills you really need to survive.
In 8 years I’ve never put on an out of office.

I’ve lived my life constantly being accessible.

Tomorrow, I’m doing it for the first time.

I promised my new fiancé a day of just us - no work.

Let’s see what happens - I hope the world doesn’t fall apart.

Time and time again, Gareth Southgate has shown himself to be an incredible leader.

Last night was no exception.

When asked about England’s penalty defeat, he simply said:

“It’s down to me. That is my responsibility. I chose the guys to take the kicks. I decided on the penalty takers based on what they’ve done in training, and nobody is on their own.”

Bravo Southgate.

My mental health really sucks right now.

And there are so many layers to it.

But the main thing is, I am aware of it. I’m speaking about it and I’m taking steps to try and solve it.

These steps include:

1) Deleting social media apps
2) Tackling the tasks that are causing me the most anxiety and stress
3) Speaking to friends
4) Reading more
5) Writing and keeping track of a to-do list
6) Working with a coach

And most importantly staying sober.

I definitely see a route through this and soon things will fall into place but right now it’s a battle.

One I’m going to win, but I’m not afraid to admit publicly that now I need help.

And I’m getting it.

This is going to work.
