I had the pleasure of welcoming my brother Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to the UAE and discussing with him the deep and longstanding bonds that unite our two nations. Since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed and Sultan Qaboos, relations between the UAE and Oman have been built on firm foundations of friendship, respect and a shared vision for progress. These ties have witnessed continued growth in recent years, especially in the economic, trade, and investment fields, and we remain committed to strengthening our strategic partnership for the benefit of both countries. I am confident that this visit will lead to a new era of cooperation as we continue to explore new collaboration opportunities that support our people’s shared aspirations for a stable and prosperous future.
It was a pleasure to meet with my friend President Joko Widodo in Abu Dhabi. Building upon the close and enduring ties between the UAE and Indonesia, we explored opportunities to further expand our economic partnership, boost collaboration in key development areas, enhance climate action efforts, and advance global education initiatives. I extend my sincere thanks to President Widodo for his tireless efforts during his time in office to strengthen the bonds between our countries.
A major milestone in UAE-Indonesia relations was the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in 2022, contributing to the ongoing growth of our economic cooperation and helping advance our nations’ development ambitions. Total non-oil trade between the UAE and Indonesia stood at USD 4.4 billion in 2023; through the CEPA it is our goal to increase bilateral trade to USD 10 billion per year.
The UAE and Indonesia will continue to enhance cooperation across various fields, and the significant development of our economic partnership in recent years will serve as a strong foundation for further growth aimed at benefiting our two nations and peoples.
In line with the UAE's consistent approach of building development partnerships with countries around the world in order to promote increased trade and investment, I joined President Gustavo Petro to witness the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Colombia.
This agreement paves the way for a new era of constructive cooperation and mutual development, providing further opportunities for our countries to expand their economic relations. It also symbolises the UAE’s firm belief that international cooperation to achieve sustainable economic growth helps to foster stability, peace and prosperity for all.
Today at COP28 in Dubai I had the pleasure of congratulating the winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, which recognises pioneers driving positive change in climate action, healthcare, energy, food production and access to clean water. True to the principles of the UAE’s Founding Father, the winners’ innovative and inspiring solutions are bringing environmental and social benefits to communities around the world.

In Abu Dhabi, I discussed with President Vladimir Putin the ties between our two nations and the importance of strengthening dialogue and cooperation to ensure stability and progress. The UAE will continue to support efforts aimed at enabling global growth, prosperity, and development for all.
During talks in Cyprus with President Nikos Christodoulides, we explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations in areas that advance both countries’ shared development ambitions, including energy, trade, investment, tourism, education, and technology.

We also discussed ways to expand collaboration as part of our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership – which represents an effective framework for enhancing our development ties – as well as maintaining coordination on humanitarian efforts.
The UAE continues to pursue cooperation that fosters progress, opportunity, and stability for all.
I was pleased to meet with the President of Ecuador Daniel Noboa in Abu Dhabi for talks aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in areas that advance both countries’ growth ambitions. Sectors with potential for enhanced collaboration include the economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, and sustainability.

The UAE remains keen to continue expanding its economic ties with Latin American nations, based on its approach of fostering mutually beneficial development partnerships.
