1997. Was rejected for a government job. In the interview I was told on my face, I have a ‘LOW IQ’ so therefore unfit for this job, sorry.
1998, I was fired from a telco franchise in Rawalpindi after 11 months. The reason, the manager said that I terribly lack communication skills and confidence.
I felt bad. I was literally heartbroken because I was in my early 20s and jobless.
2000, I worked on myself to overcome my weakness or at least played at my strength because I realized that I am vulnerable when my weaknesses are exposed, even temporary ones.
Fast forward: The year 2007, I got featured in Guru’s hall of fame on their home page. The testimonials from different clients all across the globe praised amazing communication skills and creative ability to think outside of the box and unorthodox.
Takeaway: Work hard on yourselves but most importantly, never ever give up on yourself!
