This is the inside of a light rail in Parramatta right now.

1,500 sandbags are being used to simulate the weight of 400 passengers – a full tram.

It helps our drivers test how these trams perform when full – rain, hail or shine.

It's all part of our comprehensive testing to get Parramatta Light Rail ready to open in the middle of the year.

This just in: Singapore Airlines will be the first international carrier to fly in to the new Western Sydney International Airport.

But no matter who you travel with, you'll be able to glide in before you fly out. Our Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport Metro will be ready to go when the first passenger flights take off.

We're delivering on our commitment to start work on stage two of Parramatta Light Rail in this term of government.

Trial running has begun, meaning we're a step closer to opening Sydney Metro services beneath Sydney's CBD.

The land around Sydney's CBD always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

The Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council came to Transport for NSW with a request – to name one of the brand new Sydney Metro stations in the heart of our city after the traditional owners of the land.

Today, we're honouring that request.
