Exactly 7 years ago, in July 2012, PepsiCo created its first corporate Design function. At the beginning that function was made of a very small group of people, that you could count of the fingers of your hands. Step by step we started to hire more people, two or three at the time, one more brand at the time. And one year later we started to land the first successful projects in the market: the redesign of Pepsi and then Spire, the first line of smart beverage equipment. The more successes the more proofpoints of the value of design as a strategic asset to drive innovation, brand building and ultimately business growth. The more proofpoints the more investments in people and projects.

This month, about 6 years after the launch of the first project in the market, PepsiCo has reached a very meaningful achievement: 800 DESIGN AND INNOVATION AWARDS. In 6 years. 209 just last year and 114 in this first half of 2019. A record for the industry.....
