T . . h . . a . . n . . k . . . Y . . o . . u . . sloth showing her gratitude ❤

Take a break from your day to watch this amazing video!!!! This sloth got stuck in the middle of a road in Rio Santos, Brazil until a good Samaritan (the videographer, Gabrielle Araújo's dad!) came along to help her on her way.

The best thing about this video is the little face of gratitude she makes!!!! 😍❤ She smiles and waves “thank you' before moving on...

Contrary to popular belief, sloths only sleep for 8-10 hours a day. They do move, but very slowly and always at the same, steady pace.

In fact, everything about sloths is slow. They have the slowest metabolism of any non-hibernating mammal, survive on a low-calorie diet and take approximately one month to digest a single leaf! Their slow nature allows them to conserve energy.

Deforestation and urbanisation is why they often end up in the middle of the road.

Animals are sentient beings with a lot of real emotions and deserve all our respect and deserve the right to live with dignity! And we need to learn gratitude from those like this sloth.

What job do you imagine someone with the pace of a cloth doing? Share your funny takes in the comments.

⚡️Electricity wires being manually wrapped for protection. 🛑

From an actual lineman: On smaller wires, with a little skill, you can set all the wraps on the line and with a two handed twist get them perfectly started. If you mess up, the armour rods will get twisted over each other and you'll have to restart. But if you get it perfect it'll just lay right down for you. Unfortunately on a line this size, in that that first twist, if you get your hands/fingers caught, especially if you get both of them caught at once, it hurts like hell and you can't get out until somebody comes and saves you. So you have to work with a spotter!

And this guy seems to be a certified linesman, that’s 4 years of training and school and then a decent amount of job experience before you get the high voltage work. The pay is equally good.

Thankfully that armour rod is just as long as the termination you can see further along the line in the video. But it can't be done or automated in the factory. It needs to be done up there!

How many times your current salary would you expect to do a job like this?

🐾 Anatolian shepherd dog puppy in training. 🐕

He’s so tiny but so determined! And the sheep are ready for him to lead!

Fun facts:
Anatolian Shepherds or Sivas Kangali has one of the most powerful bites in the world. Also it's very big, close to 200cm or even taller! It can't run fast but it can run for a very long time. That's why it's good at catching wolves which can run fast but for a short time.

This breed is not actually a sheep-herding breed. It's a livestock guardian breed.

Herding dogs tend to form a very different type of bond with the livestock. Sheep herding taps into the dog's predatory instincts, whereas Lifestock Guardian Dogs ideally experience none of that predatory behavior toward the livestock. Herders tend not to live with the flock, whereas Lifestock Guardian Dogs do.

This reminds me of when we have younger interns being groomed for taking up management positions!

They cannot do it without the encouragement and support of the more experienced people who they will end up working above!

At what age should kids be taught work ethics and be given small jobs so that they can grow up to be responsible adults in society!

🚗 We need to park our negative thoughts outside before we begin our day. 🌞

Superb reminder and the right place to put it.

Next time when you are walking to your work through the car park, remember to park all your negativity and feelings there to pick up at the end of the day.

And if it's not there when you come back in the evening, that's even better!

Let us:
- Learn from yesterday
- Live in the now
- Don't stress about tomorrow

We'll get there!

How do you park things that have the potential to eat away your day... do you put them in your email drafts? In your planner?

Have you tried physically putting them aside instead of just doing it in your mind?

Hippo swimming: This is what flying underwater feels like!

Hippos have less buoyancy and can hold their breath underwater for a while. In order to do what the hippo is doing, you'd need to exhale most of your air supply first.

Fun fact- Hippos are not fat. Despite their bulky and heavy appearance, hippos' subcutaneous fat layers are quite thin.

The 2,000-kilogram giant is mostly made up of muscles, and 6-centimeter thick skin.

By the way, this is the San Diego Zoo. They take animal conservation very seriously and all the animals have adequate space based on their needs. This is just the viewing area for the hippos.

Watching what animal calms you down? Let us know in the comments.👇

The amount of gratitude this man has for an officer who saved his life 25 years ago ❤

It was the summer of 1997 when Officer James Poole pulled five-year-old Christopher Jones from the bottom of a swimming pool in Columbus, where he had drowned.

Ever since then, Christopher has never forgotten the name of the officer that saved his life.

So when he spotted a photo on the Columbus Division of Police Facebook page, showing an Officer Poole, he knew he had to get in touch.

After commenting under the photo, a surprise reunion was set up in 2016.

Poole was told he was having a meeting with the media about his role as a community liaison officer.

But then this is what happened.

Gratitude can last a lifetime!

To who do you owe a lifetime of gratitude? Do comment and let's share our thankfulness!
