Simply purchasing a course without putting in the time and effort to practice and apply the concepts taught is like buying a gym membership but never going to the gym.

It's important to remember that the goal is not just to complete the course, but to actually improve and develop new abilities.

So, make sure to allocate adequate time to practice and apply what you have learned to maximize the value of the course you have invested in.

A positive work culture is not :

- Free food
- Ping pong table
- 2 slices of pizza every other Friday
- Work hard/play hard with your 'bros'

A positive work culture is:

- Doctor's appointment? See you in a couple hours. Don't need to ask my permission.
- Want some days off? I will never reject the request. Even if it's today.
- Family commitments later? All good, I'll make sure the meeting is recorded and there is a way you can still contribute towards the outcome.
- Woke up poorly? We got you covered.

A good leader in a positive work culture will not drive you to set hours, they will work to outcomes.

A good leader in a positive work culture will make sure you don't need to ask permission to be an adult. If we need to have a tough conversation, it's not because you spent your morning at the dentist once in a while or were sick for a week.

I will need you to achieve business value and outcomes. However, we WILL do that together.

𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠:

As these interviews are designed to test your problem-solving skills, ability to think on your feet, and knowledge of fundamentals.

👉 Here are some coding interview lessons, not everyone talks about:

1. Most interviewers want you to succeed.
2. Prepare a compelling introduction. Keep it short and crisp.
3. Be ready to discuss the technical aspects of your projects in detail.
4. Understanding the problem well is the first step during interviews.
5. Ask clarifying questions about the problem and input/output.
6. Never assume things which are not given in the problem.
7. Listen attentively to the interviewer, and integrate the hints/suggestions.
8. It’s ok to use pen and paper and take notes during the interview.
9. Pick a programming language you are most comfortable with.
10. If a problem sounds easy, it probably is easy.
11. Whenever stuck, start with a brute-force solution.
12. Solution first. Optimizations later.
13. Think of multiple solutions before committing to one.
14. Ask for hints if stuck for long.
15. Discuss your approach before you begin coding, not after.
16. Think aloud. Your interviewer can't read your mind.
17. Start coding only when you know exactly what you are going to write.
18. Your solution is as good as how well you communicate it.
19. Break down complex questions into small independent questions.
20. Prioritize optimizing repeated, overlapping, or redundant computation.
21. Write clean, readable, and modular code.
22. It's essential to discuss the time and space complexity of your code.
23. Write tests to validate your solution. Consider edge cases.
24. Prepare a few questions to ask in the end.
25. Irrespective of the result, reflect on your interview experience.

PS: 3 months or 86 days or 25% of the year 2023 is available.

Still, a lot can be achieved. 👍 🚀

When we move out of the comfort of our houses for college/work,

our parents (naturally) are worried about us.

We've never been an “adult“ until that moment.

Managing food, expenses, travel, studies - it's the beginning of your “own“ life.

And as kids, we too are worried but equally excited by the wonders of the new life.

Yes, there are ups and downs. It's not easy being an adult all of a sudden.

But, things finally fall into place.

Life teaches you, eventually. Or rather, you learn from life.
