I was BUSY solving client ESCALATIONS the entire last night. I could only sleep by 4 am today morning.

Despite knowing everything, the BOSS forced me to join the 8 am morning scrum call OR take a half day leave.

Disclaimer: This post is JUST A sarcasm to talk about the importance of work life balance in a comical way.

I was in a deep 5 hours zoom call & bored when my #wife rushed to my room and started screaming!

I looked at her, shocked .... and screamed that I was on the call.

She asked me to stop the call and pay attention to her.

She told me her water broke. We are going to be the #parents of twins!

We both started jumping. I told everyone on the call about this.

My boss exclaimed, “Wow!“ “You go; I will manage the rest of the 3 hours of call“. I asked for one week's leave, which was approved instantly.

I looked at my wife, we both knew our lives are about to be changed. I rushed her to the hospital.

It was a wonderful moment! I will cherish it throughout my life! 💛 💙 💜

BTW: I don't even have a wife! This was my way to get a week-long leave.

She didnt go to a fancy office.

But she is more than any CEO.

She changed her gender identity for the world to keep her daughter safe.

When I was 2 years old, my mom LEFT her career as an officer for Govt. of India just to take care of me because I got jaundice. My dad kept his desires on the back burner to make sure that I study in a premium private convent school while everyone in our locality could only afford cheaper education.

Today, as I head to a different country to chase my dreams, I can see my parents eyes moist.

The question is evident, 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐠𝐨 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫? 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫?

Their viewpoint is justified.

Also, I think they have seen the Bollywood film #Baghban too many times. 😶

Today, 𝐈 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐦𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚:

Whatever I am doing, this is all to the years, capital, emotions, time, labour you have invested in me & all the pain you have taken for me.

This is all to give you the life you deserve: The life you dreamt for me & for us.

It still haunts me mom where you would have been in your career today had you not left it just for my sickness.

Dad, you would have bought the dream house you always wanted had you not invested so much in my education.

Thanks for being my world! 🌏

The office timing was 9 to 6 but I attended 2 am client calls daily!

The client sat in US but I sat in #India. Is that my mistake that clients are not in India?

This made me often feel #burnout!

But I am lucky, I have the best stress buster!

My #grandma made sure that her regular head massages relieved me of all my worries!

I now maintain my cool as I struggle to keep up with life & its demands!
