Let's not genderize harassment.

15 days ago, an Optum Global Solution employee, a UnitedHealth Group subsidiary, Amit Kumar, committed suicide. Why?

A female employee alleged that he had sexually harassed her.

In a 5-page suicide note, Amit mentioned that he had a trifle altercation with the said employee and that he was falsely blamed.

Yes, there are innumerable incidences where women are harassed and ostracized, but there are also situations where men are victims.
As a woman and feminist, I often find that a small portion of women misuses their gender to slander a man.

But being a feminist means wanting equality for both men and women, and I want justice to be served to this man and his family. To terminate a male employee simply because of an allegation without substantial proof can have a far-reaching effect that HR often doesn't realize.

Amit's family is in despair today, with no communication from the police or management. I stand by the grieving family and wish and demand justice to be served!

Women are nothing like men.

Here, I said it!

In a husband-wife duo, both parties can bring home the same paycheck, but the wife always has the responsibility for domestic duties. You don't have to agree with me!

Just ask yourselves these questions:

💡 Who cooks dinner, or if you have a cook who decides on the meal plan?
💡 Who makes the weekly grocery list?
💡 If the child is sick, whose responsibility is it to stay back home?
💡 Who does society shame if they choose to go on a work trip, leaving the family behind?
💡 Who knows all their child's friends and their birthdays?
💡 Who is often heard saying, “Sorry, the help didn't come, and I had to finish my household chores and come to the office.“

The questions can continue, and the answer is that 80% of the cases would be women.

So, yes, we are not equal.

Your one like & share could help bring our family back together.

My Bade Papa (Prafullo Angom) has been missing since 12th September from Unitech – The Residences, Sector 33, Gurgaon. He’s from Imphal, Manipur, and was visiting our sister’s place.

Due to Alzheimer’s, his memory is fragile, particularly with unfamiliar people and places, making it difficult for him to find his way home.

We’ve been searching for him day and night. Every effort has been made —filing an FIR with the police, checking CCTVs, visiting railway stations, bus stops, shelters, temples, old-age homes, and distributing flyers. We’ve reached out across WhatsApp groups, Instagram, and Facebook. Paid campaigns on social media are also on.

But time is slipping away, and we’re worried. The chances of finding him are fading.

So, I’m reaching out to the brightest minds like you — please share any idea, big or small, that could help our family reunite 🙏
