as normal, there's SO many updates every week that I can't always justify putting them into a carousel, so... here are the extra social media updates that didn't make the cut 🧚‍♂️

🗺️ Instagram is allegedly working on a Friends Map to allow users to see their friends location
🪡 Threads has rolled out the ability of users to bookmark their favourite posts
📲 X, FKA Twitter, now lets users choose the quality of video playback in-stream
🎠 Google is testing a most-read articles carousel in search
🍳 There's a new social app, Yolk, but it doesn't let users use text
📹 X, FKA Twitter, has launched a test of video in Spaces
🛍️ TikTok has launched a test where it automatically identifies products in people's videos so that users can find them in TikTok Shop (you'd have to turn the toggle on when uploading the video for this to happen)

as normal, there’s SO many updates every week that I can’t always justify putting them into a carousel, so... here are the extra social media updates that didn’t make the cut 🧚‍♂️

📲 Instagram is working on the ability to add a WhatsApp Profile to your external links, like you can with Facebook pages and profiles
🔍 LinkedIn improves semantic search capability on the platform, making it “possible to answer complex queries like “how to ask for a raise?” and improved on-topic rate and long-dwells by more than 10%.”
🔙 Instagram is still working on a Throwback Feed, and it looks like its adding an option to filter by year
