Women carry a lot. Dreams, fears, passions, failures, love, grief, babies, responsibilities. I couldn't help but watch this video several times over, listening to the inspiring words from Maira Kalman.

What are you carrying today? Feel free to share it in the comments. 💗
Own your strengths, know your value, and never let anyone else tell you who or what you are! You are worth itÂ đŸ’„ Viola Davis’ powerful words give me chills!
The standard is set ✅

Here for this POV from Kate 👏 “Aging“ means you’ve lived a little (read: a lot) of life. You have some stories to tell and wisdom to share. You’re becoming yourself in the most amazing way, inside and out. You own your confidence. Growing older is a privilege. Enjoy it. Celebrate it.

We’re not “past our prime.” With decades of experience and knowledge, this is our PRIME! What are you most proud of as you've grown through the years? Share it in the comments below.
“I kept showing up and betting on myself, because I am my own best lottery ticket.”

Reese is on point. In my early years as an executive, I was told that there is no room for emotion in the boardroom. I had two choices — agree and conform or be myself and bring my femininity to the table. I bet you know what path I chose! I left and started my own company. I bet on myself and never looked back.

Own your strengths, know your value, and never let anyone else tell you who or what you are!
1 in 2 girls who quit sports do so because they’re criticized for their bodies. Let that sink in. That’s 50%.

Dove took that stat and put it front and center for the Super Bowl’s 100+ million viewers with their “Those Legs” campaign. They challenged all of us to rethink the way we talk to young girls. Are we building them up or breaking them down? Are we making them feel powerful in their own skin or second-guess it?

The truth is words hold weight. And confidence isn’t just a feeling. It’s a foundation that’s built early on in life. Study after study finds that girls who played sports are more likely to be business leaders. And did you know that 94% of female C-Suite executives played sports? Sports teaches so many life lessons: the power of teamwork, confidence and resilience in the face of defeat, to name a few. It is so important that young girls play sports.

Let’s make sure our words are keeping girls in the game, constantly building up their strength, confidence, and power.
This just in: 70 is the new 70. Who says the best and most exciting parts of your career can’t happen after you’ve reached 50 years old?

Women in the second half of their lives are leading and accomplishing their biggest dreams while embracing their age. They’re proving that their prime years are far from behind them. Women over 50 are leaning into their knowledge, experience, and life lessons to unlock the secrets to success and reach the pinnacle of their careers. After all, to age is beautiful!

At 77, fashion legend Diane von Fustenberg shares, “Instead of asking ‘How old are you?’ people should ask, ‘How long have you lived?’”

With decades of experience and knowledge, our 50s and 60s (and then some!) are our PRIME!

Some of the world’s most senior women are stepping down from their roles. In fact, women leaders are leaving at the highest rate ever. As Alexis Krivkovich, McKinsey & Company, shared, “To give some context, for every woman stepping into a director-level leadership role, two are choosing to leave.”

43% of women leaders reported feeling burned out, compared to 31% of men. Women can and will leave when their needs aren’t being met. It is crucial that organizations are inclusive and supportive of women in the workplace so that we don’t undo decades of progress made!

Krivkovic went on to say, “Lots of men leave their positions, but we analyze and scrutinize when women leaders do in a different way. If we had a lot more women prime ministers and CEOs and leaders at the very top, when we had one retire or exit, it wouldn’t feel like such a loss.”
New year, big new role—congratulations to Rachel Ferdinando on being named CEO of PepsiCo U.S. Foods! After more than seven incredible years with the brand, Rachel is stepping into the top role, leading one of the most iconic portfolios in the world, including Lays, Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos, and so much more.

Rachel said it best: “I’ve been lucky to have had the opportunity to work on products that make people’s lives better and bring them moments of joy.” That passion—for your work, your teams, and your customers—is what sets you apart as a leader.

This next chapter is so well deserved, Rachel. I can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make!

More women on boards 👏 Congratulations, Carolyn Everson, on your new appointment to the The Coca-Cola Company Board of Directors. As a global leader who truly understands consumer behavior and champions equality, I can't think of a better fit for this iconic brand. Now, pass me a cokeÂ đŸ„€

Frustrated by the lack of women on the conference scene, Shelley Zalis held what would become a #CES tradition – the inaugural Women Walk the Floor Tour. But it wasn’t just the conference scene. Women were few and far between in leadership positions across industries. This inspired her to found The Female Quotient, building a global community of powerful women.

As we always say, a woman alone has power. Together, we have impact. đŸ’Ș And that’s exactly what the Women Walk the Floor Tour represents. A once farfetched idea turned reality and a solution to a global issue – she called her girlfriends who called theirs, and before you knew it, there were 50 women walking the floor at CES.

Today, over a decade later, over 500 women took the floor at #CES2024 and it was truly a sight to see. These women are walking the walk in their own lives, advancing #equality, and leaving the #tech industry – and the world – more equitable than they found it. 👏

As women, we work hard. And we win. But the most profound moments happen when we get to pass on this metaphorical baton and celebrate the women we opened doors for. When women support women, we all thrive. I love the Shine Theory, which is the idea that when you help another woman rise, we all shine. Build other women up!

Did you know that besides the United States, the only other countries with no national paid maternity leave are the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea and Tonga?

Globally, the average paid maternity leave is 29 weeks, and the average paid paternity leave is 16 weeks.

#Paidleave is essential to women’s economic empowerment. Even in a fluctuating economy, we know that when women work, economies grow. In the #EqualityLounge at #WEF24 we discuss how women’s economic empowerment is a global imperative.

I want to hear from you! How many weeks of paid family leave, if any, did you receive? Share below👇
Let's face it, we've all been both of these examples depending on the day, and that's ok! But I love this reminder that every morning, we get to make choices that add up to how our lives take shape. Take some time to reflect—what’ll it be? 💭

What legacy will you leave? I want to leave a legacy of change – tapping into the power of collaboration to transform workplace culture so that everyone feels like they belong. After all, when we create a workplace and a world where women can thrive, everyone wins!

Be true to yourself. It might just influence the next person to be brave and forge their own path, too! The way we lead should always consider the women who are watching, our next generation of leaders ✹

Congratulations to the new Spanx CEO, Caroline (Cricket) Whitton! Spanx has always been a brand made by women for women, to uplift and support (literally)!

Whitton was previously Spanx president and chief growth officer, where she led revenue and global growth efforts for the last seven years. Whitton will partner with Jeanne Jackson, Executive Chair, and Spanx's all-female Board to execute ambitious growth plans. There's nothing I love to see more than women on boards, bravo! 👏

I am thrilled to watch Caroline carry the brand forward in new ways.

We're done playing games – it's time to break the rules that keep women down and create a society where we can ALL thrive. Seek out strong women for support and be the strong woman who supports.
You are NEVER too old to start over.
