↳ Failure is an inevitable part of the learning process. The key is to embrace it as an opportunity to grow.

↳ Micromanagement stifles motivation.
↳ Having someone constantly looking over your shoulder hinders your productivity.

4. True Leadership is Empowering Others
↳ Being a leader means creating an environment where others can thrive.
↳ Being a leader isn't just about telling people what to do; it's about helping others grow and become leaders themselves.

10 Visuals on the difference between amateurs & professionals

Live a more creative life by thinking more like a professional.

Illustrations by me 😊

1) On Obstacles
↳ Amateurs shy away from obstacles.
↳ Professionals see obstacles as stepping stones.

2) On Multitasking
↳ Amateurs spread their attention across everything all at once.
↳ Professionals focus deeply on one task at a time.

3) On Time Management
↳ Amateurs try to jam-pack as much as they can in a day.
↳ Professionals prioritize and optimize their daily tasks.

4) On Process
↳ Amateurs just want the end-result.
↳ Professionals find delight in the process.

5) On Writing
↳ Amateurs write only when they have ideas.
↳ Professionals come up with ideas through the act of writing.

6) On Wealth
↳ Amateurs save money, but professionals invest in knowledge.
↳ There’s no better compounding ROI than building your skills.

7) On being busy
↳ Amateurs stay busy.
↳ Professionals take action that makes meaningful progress.

8 & 9. On Vision
↳ Amateurs focus only on getting to the next milestone. Professionals see the bigger picture.
↳ Savor the path as you move towards your goals.

10. On Failures
↳ Amateurs take a few tries.
↳ Professionals won't stop until they run out of arrows. Keep shooting!

“What happens when we turn pro is, we finally listen to that still, small voice inside our heads. At last we find the courage to identify the secret dream or love or bliss that we have known all along was our passion, our calling, our destiny.”

Things like “hustle”, work ethic, or networking are only potential gateways to fulfillment and happiness.

Ultimately… at the end of the day… this is one big game doing it YOUR way :) If you’re enjoying yourself and you’re not doing at anyone else’s expense, I’m so excited for you - regardless of how you get “there.”

How to distinguish between UI, UX, and Product Designers without getting overwhelmed?

In the wide world of design, it's important to know the differences. Even though UI, UX, and Product Designers may look the same, they work to very different beats. Even though each is important to make a product, their methods, tools, and end goals are very different.

UI Designers fill in the picture. They pay attention to how things look and make sure that interfaces are both interesting and on-brand. Think of them as artists who work on each pixel to make sure your product stands out from the rest.

UX Designers lay down the groundwork. Their main focus is on being easy to use and making users happy. By doing research, making prototypes, and testing, they make sure that users can find their way around easily and enjoy every step of their journey.

On the other hand, product designers build the link between what users want and what the business wants to achieve. By combining design and strategy, they make sure the product not only looks and feels great but also does well in the market.

The way these roles work together is like a complicated dance. Whether you want to work together, hire someone, or just enjoy the art, knowing these differences is the first step.

Vamos alinhar?

Why do we all say SORRY so much?

Overusing the word makes it meaningless.

How many times have you said SORRY this week?
For many of us, it’s more than we’d like to admit.

Over-apologizing can:
↳ Undermine your confidence
↳ Reduce your assertiveness
↳ Dilute the power of genuine apologies

I noticed this was something I was doing regularly.
And recently, I’ve tried to focus on what I can say instead.

Instead of automatically reaching for sorry, consider these alternatives to express your message clearly and confidently:

1. ❌ So sorry to bother you again
→ ✅ Is now a good time to discuss…?

2.  ❌ Sorry, that I’m late
→ ✅ Thanks for your patience.

3.  ❌ Sorry, I don’t know anything about that
→ ✅Let me look into this and get back to you.

4. ❌ Sorry, I can’t make that time
→ ✅ I’m unavailable then; could we find another slot?

5. ❌ Sorry, I need help with this again
→ ✅ I’d appreciate your guidance on this.

6. ❌ Sorry, for talking too much
→ ✅ Thank you for listening to me.

7.  ❌ Sorry, I need to cancel our plans
→ ✅ Something’s come up; can we pick another day?

8. ❌ Sorry, I don’t have time right now
→ ✅ I’m tied up at the moment; let’s set a time to talk.

9 ❌ Sorry, that’s not my responsibility
→ ✅ Let me direct you to the right person for that.

Let’s start reclaiming our power by using “sorry” only when it’s truly needed.

Which of these phrases do you use most?

↳ Instead of feeling bad, use this time to reflect on how far you’ve come.

3. When you should take a break
↳ We should not be taking breaks on the brink of burnout
↳ Instead, take smaller breaks when your energy dips, you will go for longer

4. Not everyone starts in the same place
↳ Some people will have a much harder journey to goals than others.
↳ Always be kind, you don’t know what it’s taken to get somewhere.

5. The reality of hard things

↳ Stay disciplined and persist through the hard times.

6. How to have effective work discussions
↳ Contribution should come from everywhere, not just from your boss.
↳ Diversity of thought is absolutely critical

7. How to tackle obstacles in life
↳ When things are hard, remember: it’s one small part of a long journey.
↳ Reflect on how far you’ve actually come.

8. How we should view failure
↳ Failure is never a bad thing. It is all a part of the process.
↳ Embrace failure. Fail fast and learn even faster.

9. Working when you’re anxious
↳ It’s far easier to take on more when you’re feeling good.
↳ Prioritise your mental and physical health to make things work.

10. The power of a great manager
↳ A good manager will bring you more benefits than higher pay.
↳ Find a leader who will truly help you excel.

10 Brutal Career Truths I Know at 41 (that I wish I knew at 31)

It took me 10 years of:

- Pivoting so many times, I lost track.
- Facing rejection so brutal, it almost broke me.
- Trusting the wrong people—and paying the price.

Through the chaos, I landed dream clients,
built a thriving business, AND hired an amazing team.

Here are 10 Things I Learnt the Hard Way: 👇

1. Hard Work Isn't Good Enough

- You can be brilliant and invisible at the same time.
- If no one knows about your work, it doesn’t matter.
- Be visible. Speak up. Silence is a career killer.

2. Thick Skin Is Non-Negotiable

- You will get rejected. Repeatedly.
- Sometimes it stings so bad you question your worth.
- Don’t. Rejection isn’t a reflection of your value—it’s proof you’re in the game.

3. When People Are Rude, It's On Them

- Their bitterness isn’t your burden.
- Don’t let their poison seep into your self-worth.
- It’s not yours to carry. LET THEM!

4. Some People Are Just Nasty

- There will be clients who drain your soul. Fire them. FAST.
- I had a client who gave me heart palpitations.
- Haven’t worked with her in 5 years. Best. Decision. Ever.

5. Firing Clients Is Self-Care

- Money isn’t worth your mental health.
- If working with someone feels like emotional quicksand, walk away.
- No amount of zeros on a paycheck will save you.

6. Your Biggest Cheerleaders Are Gold
- Some clients will champion you like crazy!
- Double down on them.
- They’re the foundation of your growth, sanity, and success.

7. It Gets Lonely at the Top

- Success can feel like standing on a mountaintop alone.
- Be intentional about your friendships.
- Your career won’t hug you when life punches you in the face. People will.

8. You’re Only as Successful as the People You Work With

- Your network isn’t just your net worth—it’s your safety net.
- Surround yourself with people who challenge,
- inspire, and hold you accountable.

9. Not Everyone Deserves a Third Chance

- Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
- Fool me three times?
- That’s just self-sabotage. Protect your peace.

10. Learning Never Ends

- Complacency is the slowest form of failure.
- Growth isn’t a milestone—it’s a mindset.
- Because if you’re not learning, you’re losing.

Which one resonates with you most?

These are the 9 psychological marketing concepts you NEED to know.

1. Sell the benefits, not the features.
❌ 5gb of storage
✅ 5,000 songs in your pocket

2. Scarcity drives demand.
❌ $1 water in a supermarket
✅ $20 water on a desert island

3. Perfection is the enemy of progress
❌ Don’t wait for the perfect moment
✅ Gather information as you go

4. People connect with emotions, not products
❌ It’s not about the product you sell
✅ It’s about the story you tell

5. People buy outcomes, not products
❌ People don’t buy the product
✅ They buy the transformation

6. Give people a reason to act now
❌ People will put things off until later
✅ You need to create urgency

7. Always leverage social proof
❌ Testimonials are more convincing than self-praise
✅ Let your community validate your offer

8. Test, Measure and learn
❌ Guesswork and intuition should not lead you
✅ Data should inform every decision

9. Always Remove the Risk
❌ Uncertainty fuels doubt
✅ Remove all objections to buy

These core principles will apply forever and always.

They are the most important things I have learned over 15 years in marketing.

Those that harness them will continue to be ahead of the game.

Leaving a toxic workplace… is an act of bravery, not a sign of defeat!

8 visuals that will set your mind on fire! And make your soul smile with joy!

These visuals have three primary themes >>> Growth – Courage – Focus

Here’s what you will learn from each:

1/ “Leaving a toxic workplace… is an act of bravery, not a sign of defeat!”
↳ Walking away is courage, not surrender.

2/ “You’re 100% replaceable at work! But 100% irreplaceable at home!”
↳ Prioritize what truly matters.

3/ “Dream in years! Plan in months. Act in days.”
↳ Long-term vision, short-term action.

4/ “Comparison is the thief of joy.”
↳ Just be yourself, everyone else is already taken.

5/ “High performers don’t always follow the crowd.”
↳ Stand out by doing what others won’t or can’t

6/ “Motivation vs. Discipline”
↳ Motivation fades. Discipline sustains.

7/ “Your perception is that others are focused on you! When they’re only focused on themselves.”
↳ Stop worrying about judgment. Focus on you.

8/ “Learn to let go!”
↳ Growth means releasing what holds you back.

Boss vs Leader

A boss manages their employees, while a leader inspires them to innovate, think creatively, and strive for perfection.

Every team has a boss, but what people need is a leader who will help them achieve greatness.

Also, if you have a good leader who cares about you and your future career development, make sure you appreciate their leadership and don't take it as granted! :)

it’s important to recognize the signs.

Here are 9 ways your boss might be undermining your confidence:

❌ Frequent Criticism, No Positive Feedback
Constantly being corrected without acknowledgment of what you’re doing right can make you feel like you’re never good enough.

❌ Micro-Managing
If your boss doesn’t trust your decisions and constantly hovers over your work, it can leave you doubting your abilities.

❌ Ignoring Your Input
When your ideas are dismissed or never considered, it’s easy to feel invisible.

❌ Passing the Blame
Being blamed for mistakes you didn’t make can shake your confidence.

❌ Dismissing Your Achievements
If your hard work is downplayed or ignored, it’s hard to feel valued.

❌ Setting Unclear Expectations
When expectations constantly change or aren’t clearly defined, it can leave you feeling lost.

❌ Excluding You from Important Decisions
Being left out of key conversations or decisions can lead to a sense of being undervalued.

❌ Publicly Embarrassing You
Being criticized in front of others can seriously damage your confidence.

❌ Playing Favorites
If certain team members are given more opportunities, it can make you feel overlooked.

9 Steps to deal with these issues:
✔️ Seek constructive feedback and ask for specific examples to improve.
✔️ Gently communicate your need for more autonomy and suggest ways to keep them updated.
✔️ Find opportunities to voice your opinions in team meetings or one-on-ones.
✔️ Take ownership of what you can control, but don’t be afraid to diplomatically point out the facts.
✔️ Make sure you’re celebrating your successes with your team or manager, and request regular feedback.
✔️ Clarify the goals upfront and regularly check in to ensure alignment.
✔️ Politely ask to be included in decision-making processes that affect your role.
✔️ Address the issue privately and calmly with your boss, and ask for feedback in a more constructive setting.
✔️ Focus on your own growth and development, and look for ways to demonstrate your value to your boss.

Which of these signs resonated with you and why?

Label Padhega India was labelled as the “2nd biggest consumer awareness program“ after Jago Grahak Jago in India by Economic Times.

Jago Grahak Jago was a government initiative in which they spent crores of rupees on TV ads, but Label Padhega India was started without government support on a very limited budget. Really proud of what we created together!

Even though Economic Times wrote a long article on Label Padhega India, they did not mention me anywhere. This makes me feel happy because this means that Label Padhega India has become a health movement bigger than me or any individual.

Excited to keep growing the health literacy movement in India!

10 Little-Known Hacks to Improve Memory

Most people blame “bad memory” when they forget things.

But in reality, memory is like a muscle - it gets stronger when trained.

Here are 10 underrated ways
To sharpen your memory:

1. Memory Palace Technique
↳ Place information in familiar locations to recall it faster.

2. Write in Unfamiliar Fonts
↳ Hard-to-read fonts make your brain work harder, improving retention.

3. Blink Rapidly Before Memorizing
↳ Resets your focus and boosts alertness before learning.

4. Take Power Naps
↳ A quick 10–20 min nap strengthens memory consolidation.

5. Exercise Before Studying
↳ Increases blood flow to the brain, improving focus and recall.

6. Use the Zeigarnik Effect
↳ Start studying, pause mid-topic, and let your brain process it.

7. Change Your Study Environment
↳ Switching locations helps you recall info in different settings.

8. Engage Your Sense of Smell
↳ Associating a scent with learning improves memory recall.

9. Read Aloud in a Whisper
↳ Activates auditory memory, boosting information retention.

10. Squeeze Your Fist Before Recalling
↳ Clenching your right fist before learning and left before recalling can enhance memory.

Memory isn’t about luck - it’s about strategy.

Try these, and you’ll start remembering things you never thought you could.

When I turned 40 in 2020, I shared my failure resume with the world.
In the hope that people recognize behind every success is a series of events that we all failed at, which eventually led to the success we enjoy!

Cheers to celebrating failure and learning from it.

7 Mindsets That Unlock Your Career Performance:

I wish someone had told me these when I was starting out:

(Thanks to Timothy Armoo for highlighting this.)

1. Nice Guys Finish Last
   - Being easygoing often means settling for less
   - Dare to be “unreasonable“ - it's how you get the life you want

2. The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease
   - Brilliant work in silence often goes unnoticed
   - Learn to showcase your efforts - it's not bragging, it's smart marketing

3. Failure is the Price of Admission
   - Those who never fail are those who never try
   - Each “no“ gets you closer to a “yes.“ Keep swinging

4. Self-focus isn't Selfish
   - Constantly putting others first is a form of self-sabotage
   - Prioritize your growth.. It's not selfish, it's necessary

5. The Only Race is With Yourself
   - Comparison is the thief of joy and motivation
   - Focus on beating your personal best, not someone else's

6. Everyone Starts Somewhere
   - Even experts were once clueless beginners
   - Embrace the awkward learning phase - it's where the magic happens

7. Confidence is a Muscle
   - You build confidence through action, not thinking
   - Take the leap, even when you're scared - that's how you grow

Remember, comfort is the enemy of progress.

These mindsets might feel uncomfortable at first,
but they're the secret sauce of peak performers.

Which of these hits home for you right now? 💬
