Having a good Manager is nothing short of a blessing.

A good boss can make your work life significantly better, and the impact of a good boss extends far beyond just work.

Firstly, a good boss can make a huge difference in your day-to-day work life.

A good boss can provide you with clear expectations, feedback on your work, and support when you need it.

They can also help you develop your skills and provide you with opportunities for growth within your role.

With a good boss, you can feel more confident in your abilities and more motivated to do your best work.

In addition to the benefits to your work life, a good boss can also impact your overall well-being.

Studies have shown that having a supportive boss can lead to lower levels of stress, greater job satisfaction, and better mental health.

A good boss can create a positive work environment, where you feel valued, respected, and supported.

Furthermore, a good boss can be a valuable mentor and role model.

They can offer guidance and advice based on their own experiences, and they can inspire you to be your best self.

A good boss can also help you navigate the ups and downs of your career, providing you with a sense of stability and direction.

Finally, a good boss can create a sense of community within the workplace.

A good boss can foster a positive team dynamic, encouraging collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect.

This can create a workplace culture where everyone feels connected and supported, which can lead to greater productivity, creativity, and success.

In conclusion, having a good boss is truly a blessing.

It can make a huge difference in your work life, your overall well-being, and your career trajectory.

So if you have a good boss, be sure to appreciate and thank them for all that they do.

And if you don't have a good boss, remember that there are always opportunities to find a better fit.

This is Japan’s manager Hajime Moriyasu bowing to the fans who travelled to Qatar to support their team.

Throughout the entire tournament, the Japanese have shown nothing but grace and respect (both on and off the pitch). And that starts from the top.

This is so true.

I was a terrible manager when first given the opportunity.

Leading by example came naturally to me, but quality management is an art and science that wasn’t prepared for.

Although i’m not as terrible as I was before, I’m still learning everyday and trying to share what i’ve learned with others going through the same boat.

Here are a few things i’ve learnt along the way:

* Promote Work-Life Balance: Encourage employees to take breaks, use their holiday entitlement, and set boundaries between work and personal life. Lead by example by respecting these boundaries yourself.

* Provide Clear Expectations: Clearly communicate goals, expectations, and timelines to reduce uncertainty and stress. Ensure that each team member understands their role and how it contributes to the overall success of the team.

* Offer Support and Resources: Be approachable and available to listen to your team members' concerns and provide guidance. Offer resources such as counselling services, mental health days, or flexible working arrangements to support their well-being.

* Recognise and Appreciate: Regularly acknowledge and appreciate your team members' contributions and achievements. This can be done publicly or privately, depending on the individual's preference, to boost morale and motivation.

* Encourage Open Communication: Foster a culture of open communication where team members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, concerns, and ideas without fear of judgement or reprisal. Actively listen to their feedback and address any issues promptly.

* Provide Opportunities for Growth: Offer training, professional development opportunities, and career advancement paths to help employees develop their skills and reach their full potential. Recognise and celebrate their progress and achievements along the way.

* Promote Collaboration and Team Bonding: Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and mutual support among team members. Organise team-building activities, social events, or volunteer opportunities to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of belonging.

* Lead with Empathy and Compassion: Take the time to understand your team members' individual needs, challenges, and strengths. Show empathy and compassion in your interactions and decisions, and be flexible and accommodating when necessary.

* Create a Positive Work Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where diversity is valued, and everyone feels respected, heard, and appreciated. Address any conflicts or issues promptly and promote a culture of mutual respect and support.

* Monitor and Address Burnout: Keep an eye out for signs of burnout, such as decreased productivity, increased absenteeism, or changes in behaviour. Take proactive steps to address workload issues, provide additional support, or adjust expectations as needed to prevent burnout and support employee well-being.

Hope these help! Your team will thank you for it ❤️

In 2008 we applied to Dragon's Den & got as far as a screen test and we pitched our hearts out before the producers rejected us.

They deemed Martin & myself not investment worthy.

We were totally crushed.

We were prepared to offer the Dragons 20% for £100,000. Based on our latest BrewDog valuation, that investment would now be worth almost £360m meaning the Dragon's missed out on by far the best deal in Den history.

We got over the rejection eventually. But it took a while.

🇮🇹Grazie a voi
A tutti voi

I still remember I was 7 months pregnant while appearing for my masters exams. I felt I was ready to sit for 3 hours as I was regularly going to the office back then. But sitting in an AC office was completely different from sitting in a third-floor room of a government school. I would go to the ground floor every 20 mins to use the washroom. (Moms can imagine) I thought I would be okay.

In the next exam, I was all prepared with a water bottle, fruity, and lots of bananas. My family told me to quit the exam the moment I don't feel good.

But the determination to complete my masters and the attitude to never give up helped me show up for every exam.

Remembering that time today to remind me and all women that there will always be challenges in our journey but our actions in such situations define our story.

Let's do it 💯

This tweet went viral.

But the reason isn’t as obvious as it appears.

Yes, Chewy delivered great customer service. That deserves praise.

But this tweet went viral because tons of OTHER people had similar experiences — so when they saw it, they replied and shared with their own experiences.

Consider:

🎨 Chewy makes 1,000 oil paintings of its customers’ pets PER WEEK, and sends them out as gifts!

🌸 Chewy regularly sends flowers to people when their pets die.

😊 Chewy has a team of more than 2,500 trained customer service reps who respond quickly and kindly.

Delighting one customer is great. But when you delight ALL your customers, they'll join together to shout your praises.

THAT is how you go viral.

Making employees feel valued and APPRECIATED is the best thing you can do every day. In today's world where everything moves at 100 miles /hr in a company, it is easy to forget to stop and do this. Even the slowest employee will work to the best of their ability if they know their efforts are being appreciated. Appreciation coupled with incentive rewards is a great morale and productivity booster. Don't just tell me how much you appreciate me. Show me! Actions speak louder than words! Agree?

One day, Thomas went to school dressed as Superman.

The teacher asked him, “Why are you wearing that? You aren't allowed to wear that to school?’

He replied: “Because Superman is my uncle.“

The teacher explained that Superman wasn't real, but Thomas insisted that he was.

Later, at school pick-up, the teacher approached Thomas' mum and said,

“We don't encourage our kids to tell lies and you shouldn't either. Your son has been telling everyone his uncle is Superman.“

“Oh!“ she replied with a smile, “He's not lying. It's true.“

Here is little Thomas with his uncle... Henry Cavill.

“Neha, don’t hire freshers, they don’t have experience.”

I’m sorry, but where will they get the experience if we don’t hire them?

I decided to hire freshers, many of whom are just done with their bachelors.

Today I stand at a place where some of them pursue their higher education,

These days, people underestimate the importance of a good education. However, education has played an essential role in my life, especially in molding me into the person I am. The exposure, the networking, the independence, and the life lessons you get from being away from your family.

So, yes, I feel bad because these are kids whom I trained and who are pillars of my company, but at the same time, I feel I am not the one to come in their way to fulfill their dreams, and I’m proud of them for taking this step under my guidance.

What do you all think about hiring freshers?

Down, but not out.

To be honest, I was dreading the airing of the Flatheads pitch on Shark Tank India. Breaking down on national TV isn't exactly great for one's self confidence 😳. What I definitely didn't expect is the episode to be received the way it has been, and it is very very heartening to see that people are applauding the entrepreneurial spirit - of all startup founders, with me as a proxy ❤ .

A heartfelt thank you to the sharks Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal and Namita Thapar for helping me get some perspective. And to Sony and Shark Tank India for giving founders like me a chance to speak about what entrepreneurship is really like.

Most of all, a million thanks to everyone out there for all the support and love 🙏 . It is taking some effort to process all this, so please give me some time. I'll respond to everybody as soon as I can.

Meanwhile, if you are in the US, you can check out Flatheads sneakers on Zappos (https://lnkd.in/gegVJWpN) and if you are in the UAE, we are on Infinite Kart (https://lnkd.in/gRMxMCij).

We've almost sold out our inventory in India, so pardon us if you aren't able to find your size on www.flatheads.in. Would be amazing if you can tell your friends in the US and UAE to try our shoes.

And by the way, did I mention that my 10 year old daughter wants to be an entrepreneur? She says she is a fan of Peyush's no-nonsense mindset, and I know that she admires Vineeta for her cheerfulness and positivity. She is super proud that I managed to get an offer from both of them! She is an artist and is taking pre-orders for her 2023 calendar created with her paintings. Just check out https://lnkd.in/gQU58Zyp if you are interested in getting one!

A special shout-out to SNITCH and Siddharth DUNGARWAL for the jacket I wore on the show. The D2C founders community is an example of what the world should be like - honest, positive and always ready to lend a helping hand.

Sorry (but not sorry) for the shameless plugs - as entrepreneurs, we are always selling 😎 !

3) Foque SEMPRE no longo prazo.

WHAT really COUNTS?
The 95-year-old you knows what was really important and what wasn’t; what really mattered and what didn’t; what really counted and what didn’t count at all. What advice does the wise “old you” have for the you reading this? Take your time. Jot down the answers on two levels: personal advice and professional advice. And once you have written down these words, take them to heart.

Imagine yourself at 95 years old, knowing what was important and what wasn’t. Take that knowledge to heart now, both for your career and for your personal life.

First, take a deep breath. Take a deeper breath. Now, imagine that you are 95 years old and you are just about to die. Here comes your last breath. But before you take your last breath, you are being given a wonderful, beautiful gift: the ability to travel back in time and talk with the person who is reading this. The 95-year-old you has been given the chance to help the you of today to have a great career and, much more important, to have a great life.

Nela, está escrita a frase “知識就是力量“, “conhecimento é poder“. A ideia é que seu tamanho e idade não determinam seu peso ou importância, seu conhecimento, sim.

Integrity is at the core of emotional intelligence.

24 ways to know if you have it:

First, what integrity's not:

Doing what's popular instead of what's right
Acting differently in private than in public
Saying one thing and doing another
Letting fear dictate your decisions
Taking credit for others' work
Valuing success over ethics
Hiding your mistakes
Following the crowd
Turning a blind eye
Making excuses
Blaming others
Staying silent

Integrity is:

Transparency
Ethical behavior
Keeping your word
Acting with courage
Treating others fairly
Owning your mistakes
Respecting confidentiality
Showing respect for others
Admitting when you're wrong
Standing up for what you believe
Refusing to compromise your values
Doing what's right, even when it's hard

In a world that values success at any cost,
integrity is the ultimate success.

And emotional intelligence means choosing integrity
even when emotions run high.

➟ It's always doing the right thing.
➟ Not because someone is watching.
➟ But because it's the right thing to do.

It's not selfish to distance yourself from people
who drain your energy.

It's self-care.

Surround yourself with people who:

• Lift you up
• Inspire you to grow
• Celebrate your successes

And who always have your back.

Life's too short to spend time with people
who bring you down or cause you distress.

It's okay to let go of relationships that:

🚫 Make you feel small
🚫 Cause you constant stress
🚫 Don't understand or support your goals

Instead, focus on building a circle of people who:

✅ Stand up for you, even when you're not around
✅ Believe in you, even when you doubt yourself
✅ Challenge you to be your best self, always

And remember, it's not about quantity.
It's about quality.

A few true supporters are worth more
than a crowd of fair-weather friends.

Protect your energy. Guard your peace.

Surround yourself with people who
fight for your happiness and success.
Even when you're not in the room.

You deserve nothing less.
